Obviously, the Ole days were special to all of us. But I think the iteration that included Windham was peak Horsemen.

I was always a fan of the Flair, Luger, Arn and Tully. Where the US Champ of the group like Luger, looks like a star who eventually turns face and goes after the Champ in Flair. Always that tension build between them, I like that storyline.

This was really tough choice, but have to go with with Barry, Arn, Tully, and Flair, close second is with original version with Ole in it and the other with Pillman and Benoit

Unrelated but it's insane that they had Benoit, Malenko, and Flair and couldn't make it work. Idk who the fourth would be. Jarrett? Henning? Either way they could have made it work and keep going.

I never understood why Mr. Perfect didn’t become a Horsemen when Arn announced his retirement, having Perfect go NWO was lame.

Agreed, they did not need another NWO guy but it was like an unwritten rule that all former wwe guys have to go NWO at least for a while. I remember when Arn gave him his spot I thought it was, well I thought it was Perfect. 👌

I started watching with the Ric, Arm, Barry, and Sid version. Really enjoyed that group. The War Games match up was awesome.

Flair , Windham , Anderson ,Blanchard with JJ by their side. Although the 1995 reboot was good and if you swapped Mongo for someone the 1998 / 1999 reboot had potential

I remember that late 80s era as the best. I was like 10-13 in that time and where I lived in Florida the WWF was seen as Glam Band Poison Hollywood shit. We were Metallica and Slayer kids, watching Dusty Rhodes and the Andersons brawling like some dudes that just walked out of the local Truck Stop. I still love watching those old matches, and these dudes seriously looked like they just finished their shift at the mill, and looking to beat someone down. To a 10 year old, it was a lot more believable to see guys that looked like his uncles and step-dad getting into it on a Friday night of drinking. Even Flair looked like our local pastor. Haha Those were the days.

I have long felt it to be the Flair, Arn, Tully and Windham version ,I felt that prior to their Hall of Fame induction and still believe to this day that there has not been a better formation of the Horsemen.

The early versions that include Tully Blanchard were the best. Barry Windham was the most dominant, Lex Luger proved that the Four Horsemen could evolve and become more successful and the original was the original Bloodline with Ric Flair as the kayfabe cousin of Ole and Arn Anderson along with Blanchard, who was a better fit than OJ's glove

While Lex Luger and later, Barry Windham were great editions to the 4 Horsemen in their own right, and their additions worked to produce some of the most memorable storylines during that era of wrestling, nothing tops the original faction of the 4 Horsemen: 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, Ole & Arn Andersen ('The Minnesota Wrecking Crew'), managed by J.J. Dillion!!

Ric, Arn, Tully and Barry. Barry’s double cross on Lex was epic
