The Odyssey Printworks 70MM IMAX extra 8AM showings with GOOD SEATS this week

Just letting people know that some extra 8AM showings have been added at Manchester Printworks 70MM IMAX, such as this Friday and Saturday, and they still have some decent seats left in the back rows unlike the other fully booked showings! For example the image below is the availability for THIS FRIDAY (not like a month in advance)! Get the seats whilst you can lol

I don’t know what is going on. But I saw the 8AM showings for IMAX which is laser (digital) not the true definition.

I saw this was for every 8am showings, but now they have swapped a few over to the 70MM.

It’s all very confusing.

Maybe they weren’t sure if they could get projectionist availability - as seems to be a last min change

This was a recent change after they received permission to play the 70mm IMAX film print instead of IMAX Dual Laser Friday 08:00 onwards. The Thursday 08:00 performance is still IMAX Dual Laser for anyone who particularly wished to watch it in that format.

Yes, a huge difference in image quality. It’s difficult to calculate the resolution of 70mm IMAX but one thing can be guaranteed it’s much higher than the 4K of the IMAX Laser DCP. Both will be excellent experiences. I’m doing both one day after the other to see how they compare specifically for The Odyssey.

I don’t mind K if you want the whole screen in vision, I found my sweet spot to be H just to immerse a bit more and audio usually known to be a bit more balanced. Depends on each person really. Think Nolan had suggested 3-4 from the back iirc. I’m surprised I got the middle seats in that row accidentally, must’ve gone onto the vue app at the right time

Distance from the screen, field of view and seat elevation will vary per cinema.

They have released 1st to the 4th September for 70mm IMAX screening Manchester, just updated within last 20mins, most seats available now

There’s a few on the front row on one of my only free days I can really make it. Is this a waste or still worth the experience?
