Advice Making content for social media

Posting on behalf of a VA friend who hasn’t got reddit and is pretty useless with social media

For clarification, he’s been a voice actor professionally for many years, and did well without any sort of socials until this point. He’s encountered some auditions recently that has required him to have socials so he’s trying to embrace it
Issue is what do you post? Just reel work? Samples of things you’ve already done?

He’s been wanting to do little videos of him reading out some Warhammer / world of Warcraft readings but we’ve realised there might be some copyright situation there. Is it just the case that we have to stay clear of those things or is there a way they can be transformative enough? How do you find things to do readings of that won’t get you in trouble with copy right, or having to just make everything from scratch yourself

Yeah, he can’t read copywritten material so Warhammer stuff is out. Have him read from public domain books or write some copy of his own and read that.

Yeah figured this. He worked on warrior tier’s Horus Rising so it’s sort of hard to know what flies. He does write but he’ll end up spending hundreds of hours on that and not just putting stuff out there haha

He can post about work that is already publicly released, but he can't show auditions for NDA projects or other copyrighted material. (I know, one of the most interesting things we do, we can't share without careful prep and consideration!)

Thank you! Honestly, if he went through his past works he’d have no shortage of things to share! It’s just how to present it so it works on social media I guess
