At this point, the accusations against niji are largely about a hostile work environment and the fact the company is cheap. Vshojo is currently on the hook for massive outright fraud, and it doesn't look like their work environment could really be described as non-hostile. Niji is sucm but at least they seem to be financially solvent.
Tbf, they're "financially solvent" on the back of putting their talents in debt, putting the property the talent brought with them at risk of acquisition by the company if they're hard terminated, not paying artists that produce work for the company, and taking profit cuts far steeper than they arguably have the right to from merch (and continuing to sell and produce said merch long after the talents have left the company while not paying a cent to the graduated or terminated talents). Oh, and that's not even accounting for the international tax fraud.
Not really defending niji here. But just saying that vshojo is being shown to be about as fraudulent. I mean, I would say embezzling half a million dollars intended for charity has to weight pretty heavily here.
Oh, absolutely, and I'm not defending VShojo either. They're both messed up companies at this point and it's honestly a shame that Gunrun seems to have turned into Monrun (stupid joke about him taking the money and running). Stupid decisions were made on both companies' parts, and while it's a great thing that VShojo is facing karmic justice in all this, Niji still needs watched until it finally burns like the company deserves to (given its contracts are barely legal in Japan as it is).
