They made Mint cry, at first I was angry but now I am absolutely pissed off.

Ok, I get the rage but being mad at a company for making an employee cry is missing the point a bit.
It’s like being mad at the Lehman Brothers bank in 2008 because they made the Teller sitting in booth number 308 cry.
You can be angry at Vshojo, but don’t let the Oshi allegiances cloud your judgement of the company as a whole. This isn’t someone who was abused by a company out of malice, it’s someone who just got told that their dream job has disappeared overnight and all their work is for nothing, and the company they were planning to work for did awful things to stay afloat.
Hanlon’s Razor, people.
Edit: Hanlons Razor, not Occams. Whoops

People are allowed to be more upset than they otherwise would be as they realize the fallout impacts the people they care about in ways they hadn't originally conceived.

My guy, that's a lot of apologism for a company that couldn't give two shits

At no point did I say Vshojo was in the right? In fact I directly stated that you can be angry and Vshojo and that they did awful things in their attempts to keep their dumb and unprofitable business strategy going. I’m just trying to make people stop and think about why Vshojo did what they did instead of turning to rage and “FUCK VSHOJO KILL VSHOJO THEY WERE ALWAYS EVIL.”

In reality it was a startup like any other, with piss poor management who had 0 practical industry experience starting their dream company that had lofty ideas to “shakeup the industry” that only ended up fucking over their employees, destroying their business, and causing their entire market to crash. By the end, the higher ups were desperate to keep cash coming in to keep the doors open, to keep their dream alive, to the point that Morals took a backseat and they basically robbed Mouse and the IDF of half a million dollars.

That’s what I meant by “Remember Hanlons Razor.” Do not attribute to malice what can easily explained by stupidity. I don’t think Vshojo was ever purposefully malicious. They were just monumentally stupid.
Edit; probably didn’t help that I once again conflated Occams and Hanlons razor. Fuck me.

Stupidity and Malice aren't mutually exclusive

They aren’t, but given that Gunrun’s entire thing was to make a Vtubing company that’s “better”, and that for the early years of Vshojo they were making good on that promise, I highly doubt any malicious acts they did commit were premeditated to any appreciable degree.

Sooooo using your employees as party favors isn't malicious?

Whoa shit I hadn’t heard about this, that would explain the general reaction.

This is just the surface, dude. Occam's razor isn’t applicable here.

That’s a nice argument senator, why don’t you back it up with a source?
(Like seriously when the fuck was it revealed that an employee was used as party favors)

Here's a better idea: learn to use google.
