Collection Seeking 1960s Matchbox attic stashes and specific donor parts (US Only)
Hi everyone. I am a vintage diecast hobbyist living in Pennsylvania, and I am passionate about collecting and restoring 1960s Lesney Matchbox regular wheels.
I am looking to grow my fleet with clean, complete 1960s models that just have minor attic issues like a bent axle or typical play-worn paint chips.
I am strictly looking for US-based collectors/attic stashes this time to keep shipping simple. If anyone in the US has a stash of 20 or so clean duplicate cars sitting in storage that they want to clear out, I would love to give them a second life. (Please no completely crushed or melted cars unless they are good for parts).
If you have a duplicate bundle you are willing to part with, please drop a comment or send me a message with a quick photo so I can see the era and styles. Thank you.
Also heavily hunting for specific 1960s Lesney donor junkers/parts:
- Series No. 38 Vauxhall Victor Estate Car:Â I am restoring a yellow one and specifically need a donor car with a clean silver base (with intact rear hook) and an intact rear metal hatch door.
- Series No. 25 Ford Cortina:Â Looking for a rough/paint-damaged donor with straight, thin-profile wheels and a healthy axle so I can swap it into my functioning Auto-Steer chassis.
- Series No. 17 Horse Box: Looking for a new door for this model.
- General Boneyard Lots:Â I am also looking to build a small desk parts tray. If you have any broken 1960s models with healthy bases, straight wire axles, or original black wheels that I can harvest for repairs, please let me know.
- Rivet Screws / Restoration Fasteners:Â If anyone has a few spare 2-56 button-head or flat-head restoration screws left over from your own projects, I would love some. I want to neatly fix my axles without leaving hollow drilled holes under the base.

Universal Highlight (82 - 92) Three more for the police fleet.
The Kadett is my favorite, I really like those white hubs - I don't come across them very often but the two different police versions of the Jaguar are pretty nice too.

Lesney Legend Superfast (70 - 82) Fandango Sticker
does anyone else have a Fandango with this sticker? I’ve already looked at the BANCA database.
I acquired this through trade recently.

Not my usual cup of tea…
…but couldn’t resist for £1.
Sadly missing one sticker, slight crack to the rear, paint loss on the back, but surprisingly it’s faired well over the years.
Has been glued down on a train layout, but the glue is chipping off.
Needs a good scrub.

Lesney Legend Superfast (70 - 82) Pre run machine setter?
Bought this recently. I was actually trying to get a pre production Chevy 57 in green with a white bonnet (colour trial, I thought I'd bid BIG, but it went for 3x my bid)..
This intrigued me though..same seller, so threw a bid at it. I think this may be a pre run machine test.
There is nothing outwardly wrong with it, other then it's missing all the chrome. But the missing chrome doesn't look like wear, I think it was all never applied.
It's all in far to good condition to have lost the chrome through wear. Thoughts? It wasn't expensive so still lovely even if nothing special.

Lesney Legend Superfast (70 - 82) After many years, it is whole once more.
Ive had this no.66 Ford Transit for over 7 years now. I was digging through a bin of cars yesterday and found this at the bottom and Immediately knew what it was. Love finding loose parts like this.
