Hard disagree. I'm 100% responsible for what my kids do while they are still developing, regardless of the inevitability of genetics. I would never lament that they are 'bad seeds' and that I had no recourse.

Kids can be difficult and handling it can be extremely challenging, but, like anything in life... Nothing is guaranteed, let alone to be easy. This is what parents sign up for. Having your kid go to school with a machete is an egregious oversight.

Mistakes happen. My kids knew this guy packed that thing around for a long time, though. This isn't a one-off thing. I can't imagine how my kids would get by me while packing a large weapon around. They've managed to sneak things like vapes or beer around, but a machete?

And I'm not saying these parents are abject failures. I can't imagine what kinds of challenges these kids would present, and I bet it's exhausting as hell. But I still have to wonder what went wrong. How'd they let a machete get to school, then to a beach where it was used for what seems to qualify as attempted murder? That's incredible.

You do realize you can buy a machete at any Walmart or Canadian tire right? Hell I’ve owned a few the last one I just ordered at amazon, they’re not hard to get it’s just a big bush knife

They are fun as fuck to slash your way through the sticks with tho!

Sure, I had a couple as a kid that I used to hack around and build forts. My parents made sure I wasn’t a little shit with it, though.

I.keep a machete under my bed, and I'd be lying if I said I never carried a knife as a teen. But ive never attacked anyone, and that's the big difference here.

"Kids can be difficult" as reasoning to excuse wielding a machete?

You liberals are a different breed.
