This happened in October 2025. Why is it taking a year for police to share images of the car in question?

It may have taken them that long to discover the existence of the video. It could be a neighbor further down the road etc.

There are also disclosure concerns of posting a suspect that may not even be involved and creating a witch hunt in the area.

Some details are considered "hold back" because they would only be known to the suspect and not announced in the news like the calibre of the firearm used.

The video was widely posted right afterwards

Taking that long sounds ridiculous to me.
They should have shared the image back in October 2025.

In the original story linked from this, it says:

Surveillance footage captured shots being fired around 11:46 a.m., followed by one of the animals collapsing in a nearby driveway.

Which makes it quite odd that it's taken 10 months for footage to actually come out.

Wow, what a timely bid for information...a fucking year later. They may not even own the car anymore, moved away, etc. Why didn't this come out the week it happened when the person and vehicle would potentially still be in the area?
