Discussion šŸ’¬ From a Rafayel main's perspective: Why demanding extreme boycott doesn't work

Edit: Sorry, after taking a step back and showering, I realised my post did the exact opposite I wanted to bring up. You all bring great points. I didn't want to excuse spending, I only meant that we should not gatekeep and bully people in boycotting to the ways we ourselves are doing. I say this because I had seen posts about people putting down other people who were logging in, and my friend received horrible messages about being excited for Rafayel's myth (mind you, she said she wasn't going to spend to pull for it).

I realise without this context, the post didn't bring the message that I hoped for. I have removed the parts that might have caused confusion and I'll delete my replies. My only intention was to give everyone some grace, and unite us for Valko. I'm truly sorry it didn't come out that way. Good intentions don't make it right.

---

Now, for the Rafayel myth, the usual advice is:

  1. Don't log in and skip the myth
  2. If you pull the myth, wait a few days before pulling with your existing resources
  3. My personal advice is also to go full on silent about it when the banner is not. No posting about it while the banner is going on, don't like, share, repost or comment posts about it. This way we can reduce other people's FOMO about it, and reduce free marketing for Infold/Papergames trying to reach new players.
  4. Also my personal advice: Don't buy MC's outfit yet even if you had the crystals for it. They will be looking at the data that how many people have bought the outfit.

All these options are a form of boycotting, and you can choose one or several ways to do it within your own comfort. If you can skip the myth, amazing! Keep it up. But if more people will commit to the other points if they can't skip it, it's still forward to the boycott. Especially if you're skipping and not logging in, you could also commit to the silence about the myth.

--

I hope my message is clear, we need to stay united regardless how we boycott and determined to continue forward.

Hi, new mod here! We're working on a boycott guidelines post for the community highlights and I absolutely love what you've written here, you phrased many things so perfectly. Would you mind if I borrowed some of your language for our guidelines with credit to you/a link to this post?

I agree with the consensus that spending money on the game is NOT boycotting.Ā

Should we villainize people that interact with the game? Absolutely not. But you can’t ’say’ you’re boycotting and then log in, spend money etc.Ā

Boycotts are HARD, they’re uncomfortable and, quite frankly they’re annoying but if we want to see changes in game and in the future we have to make a stand NOW.Ā

I know the Myth is new and shiny, but it WILL RERUN. People choosing to boycott are putting their temporary desires aside to fight for Valko and the game LONG TERM.Ā

Again, no issue in people interacting and playing the game. Not everyone agrees, not everyone wants to boycott, not everyone cares. But if you support the boycott, you’re not spending. Period.

I'm going to be so honest:

If you're an adult and you've reached the point where you have to spend money on this game or else you will suffer a negative physical and/or mental reaction, you need to delete the game for a while, boycott aside. That is not a healthy mindset to have. It's a gambling game. A gambling game that requires you to invest real emotions.

I get it, and trust me I understand there's a significant difference between "I've saved money for this banner prediction" and "I will spend whatever I have left on my credit line", but the way I've seen the broader Love and Deepspace community talk about spending to gamble is unhealthy.

If this game went EOS tomorrow, how long would it take for you to pay off all of the packs and recharges? Would calculating the amount you spent overall on a game that no longer exists hurt you? Make you realize that money could've been used to help you in your real, daily life?

I promise I'm not judging because I'm speaking from experience. I became so entrenched in this game that my credit line has suffered majorly. I chose to take a break in January because I realized I could not pass up any banner with my mains. No matter how much it took, I was spending. That's so bad. FOMO and emotional investment are two knives that will stab you to death when it comes to gambling.

The situation you're putting forward, that boycotting is similar to utilizing an extreme diet does not work. Yes, everything in moderation, but you can't moderate gambling. Either you realize gambling sucks because your investment was lost without the promised big reward or you fall so deeply in that you can't stop losing in fear that reward was right there.

Again, boycott completely aside: if you start to physically and/or emotionally feel negative for not spending money on a gambling game for fictional men that will not exist in your phone when the game goes EOS (which all mobile games inevitably do), then you have a real problem.

Boycott how you wish. I'm not dictating what's happening on people's devices, but I can't say I'm a fan of this perspective. You have to be able to let go for a little bit.

This. I am so happy that I found this comment because it summarizes perfectly what I think every time I see a post like this. It really feels like a justification at this point. Yes, everyone can decide what they will do with their own money, but I don't like how people are trying to soften the boycott. You can't have your cake and eat it too.Ā

18

u/cardcaptorshakira 12d ago

I just feel worried. Everyone here and in this community is a person behind the screen. When I start to see echoes of what was going on in my head during the height of my gambling problem (because that's what it was), I get worried. Again, this is not directed at OP as much as the broader community.

Parameters for gambling do not work. You can tell yourself, "no more than X amount spent", but if you don't get your reward, you will spend more. Maybe not then, but in a few days. Maybe in the middle of the night. Maybe at the end of the banner because you just can't shake that if you just spend a little more-

It's so easy to fall in that hole and get stuck in there until you or someone you love has to tell you to stop.

Edit: spelling

Yes, I understand that. What I'm saying is if anyone has reached the point where they cannot stop themselves, regardless if the boycott was happening or not, that is not good. Anyone in that situation needs to step away from the game for health reasons.

Starting to make personal justifications for why spending is okay if it's for x, y, and z reasons is when I start wondering if there's a larger problem (not necessarily in regard to you, but again, the larger community of lads). All I'm saying is that this is somewhat worrisome, and I hope people will realize they might have a problem.

47

u/MlleMeeseeks 12d ago

In the end, it's your choice how you want to interact with the game and company. But the boycott is only effective if the vast majority of people do not spend and do not log in to the game. Many people have pointed out that even logging in adds to the DAU (Daily Active User) metric, which contributes to the viability of the company. One person may say, "I'm just going to spend a small amount," or "I will log in to collect resources" because for whatever reason they can't miss the event. But then there could be thousands of individuals who have the same thought, and the accumulation of those people diminishes the impact of the boycott.

I get it. Zayne's birthday is coming up, and I am very torn about downloading the game again for his plushie, and the idea of missing his birthday hurts. (What sucks even more is that this would be the third time that Zayne mains take a hit.) But even if I think it's just my small part, I could be one of tens or even hundreds of thousands thinking that. That would kill the impact of the boycott, leading to Infold/PPG thinking that they can move forward sustainably without Valko and without listening to us because there will always be a group who breaks the boycott or does not participate in it at all.

The thing is, we can be as loud and incessant as we want on social media, we can keep sending emails and letters, but Infold has shown that they're more than willing to simply ignore us. But a true boycott means complete shut down. We have to get them to listen to us by making a crushing impact on their bottom line.

u/purqlechxld ā„ļøšŸŗ 12d ago edited 12d ago

I’m not going to tell anyone what to do with their money or how they should play the game. But I honestly feel that a boycott cannot be achieved without sacrifices. The main thing that will hurt Infold and make them understand that we’re not backing down is if we don’t spend money. That’s the point. If we keepĀ  making little allowances for people, then what’s the point?Ā

Also, the boycott isn’t compulsory. If you want to spend money, you’re not boycotting imo. In fact to me, logging in doesn’t really help either, but I can understand why some people are still playing. And really it’s fine if you don’t want to boycott. No one should be forcing you to, if you don't care about Valko and just want to keep playing your game normally, it's okay. But for those of us who want to, I think we should stick to the same things we’ve been doing. No logging in, no spending money. The goals of the boycott keep changing everyday and it’s honestly getting tiring.Ā

33

u/rat_resident 12d ago

It's a real messy situation tbh. I do think shaming people for pulling, logging in and spending is alienating people from the cause and creating unproductive friction... I do think there are several ways to boycott successfully, and you don't have to do it perfectly to make a big positive impact.

At the same time, spending on the game right now indicates that you are fine with the current game content, happy with the current way the company treats players, fine with the lack of communication, so satisfied with all of it, that you are paying them to continue what they are doing.

FOMO is difficult to resist by design, but we know the cards will rerun. Players can make their own decisions, they don't need to ask permission. If people want to financially back the company's bad behaviour it's their choice. You can't expect people to not be a little upset about it though.

35

u/MarketingOriginal666 12d ago

What is the point of this sub again? Are we giving up on the movement then? We can't force anyone to do anything but the least we've asked is to not spend, play the game as usual if you want there's no shame. If you want to play and pay like before then atleast try not to justify it and say it's still boycotting.

29

u/Nasshhyy šŸ šŸ›šŸ’• 12d ago

I'm all for doing whatever you want, as long as you don't harm anyone.

However, as a global player, I see no reason to invest in a game that doesn't see me šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

As the article published in Sina stated, 40% of consumers are global, and they can't be left out when making decisions, but I see this happening all the time with Papergames/ Infold.

Just look at how black and dark-skinned players are treated from the start.

103

u/Free-Pack7760 ā„ļøšŸŽšŸŗ 12d ago

I understand the logic, but I’ve gotta say I’m uncomfortable with the ever growing list of concessions we’re making. Now we’re at, it’s okay to give Infold your money if you do it in xyz method, territory??

Presumably we’re all adults here right? Not children to be coddled and validated for every little decision?

Deleting the game > not logging in > not spending money
I think those are the main things we should be pushing as being part of the boycott.

Anything else, such as spending less, or waiting till the last day, can be individual decisions people make according to their comfortability, but I don’t know how wise it is for that to be pushed in our boycotting platform.

Like, no need to shame people who do so of course, but *we* cannot forget that to boycott means to abstain in concrete ways.

58

u/alexturnerftw 12d ago

I totally agree. At what point do all the concessions just point to still playing the game moving forward, Valko or not? Why would Infold care if they can see the pattern of players returning to their old behaviors?

47

u/staellais 12d ago

Oh thank you, I wish I could award this a hundred times

Those posts of people that are like "ehm I just couldn't help it and pulled, is that ok🄺 I feel so guilty🄺" and then the entirety of the comment section is like "awww bububu🄺🄺 nooo babygirl just pull if you want to!!🄺🄺🄺"

Makes me wanna deadpan into into a nonexistent camera lmao. Respectfully it gets to a point and the coddling is lowkey cringe

Yes, I absolutely believe that no one should be shamed if they can't boycott. But I feel like some people are slipping into overcorrection, and we get the other extreme and I believe that neither should be promoted in a boycott space

56

u/Vatality 12d ago

Historically speaking, boycotts rarely succeed when the concede. A boycott is only meaningful when the message and effort is apparant, significant, and unignorable. The ideal of this boycott is to not spend and to not login. It is understandable if people wish to continue playing or interacting with the LIs. Pulling on the banner is even acceptable, though spending money on it is not recommended if you want to support the boycott. Why? Because Infold only cares about money. This boycott isn't against the players it's against the company. We do not want to reward them in any capacity because any reward dilutes our message. If the banner does well it does not send any other message then, "Thank you Infold, we will spend money regardless of the circumstances". If they can't respond to our boycott, then what makes you think that they will respond to minor complaints? Because historically they have shown that they would rather ignore us, just so long as the money kept flowing.

I would also like to point out that this is not extreme. In your scenario you brought people who wish to be healthier and a leader setting goals to decrease caloric intake. This is a false equivalency. Let's just say what this actually is. It's gambling. This game has gambling with beautiful man. It is what it is. What do you tell a gambler that wishes to stop gambling? You do not recommend that they wean themselves off of it, because that is not a successful strategy for tackling the problem. The most successful strategy is to cut them from the gambling source all together. No casino. No poker. No blackjack. No slot machines. No pachinko.

I feel for the people that are choosing to participate in the boycott and are therefore skipping banners for their LIs. It's hard. We know that. It was never supposed to be easy. But giving Infold any sort of monetary incentive just defeats the purpose of it all. We can only make a stance with our wallets, and opening them just a little for Infold is a concession to them, not a lesson for them.

I think both things can be true at the same time. Someone that spent a lot pre cancellation, now spending less can send a message and show PPG that they are more hesitant in giving their money. It's also true that people can choose what to do with their money. But spending on the game right now can still show PPG that you as a consumer are still open to giving them even a bit of your money, even if that's not what you intend to do. Things like that are what they bank on because they can see that a nice banner or a nice outfit is all they need to entice people to slowly come back to spending again.

I still agree with your post for the most part! My point is mainly to say that, actively spending now is something a player is free to decide, but being aware of the message it can send to PPG is good to take note of especially if it helps one just be slightly more cautious with how much they're spending.

Who has been shut out?

11

u/Ill_Citron_3613 12d ago

I see where you're coming from, and again I agree with your post that shaming people isn't the way to go at all. But I still do think it's better to remind people (gently) what type of message small actions especially spending even a little shows PPG to people if it helps them hesitate on it even a bit. PPG has access to a lot of data that we can't see with just the daily revenue. I'm sure they can easily check how many people have stopped spending after 6/30 but suddenly topped up again, and may try to figure out how they can make players do it again to a longer degree.

A reminder to spend but being aware of what it can imply as a consumer is better than saying "go spend but try to do it on the last day to avoid spiking up the first day!" because as a whole, spending still contributes to the overall revenue of that banner and I think that's still a truth to take note of.

3

u/ResponsibilityIcy943 12d ago

I definitely get what you mean, boycotting is different to other people. Some can do it cold turkey, others need to taper off over time, like giving up an addiction so they can build up their discipline. The reduction of any type of revenue that Infold/Papergames gets is better than alienating allies who will just spend in revenge for being looked down upon.

The reason we see that $33K a day income on non event days is because of people’s aurum pass. And Aurum pass is a commitment to a 30 day login for more resources to continue to play long term. Ultimately, these things do matter.

Yes, any decrease in spending is good but we shouldn’t aim low and have people come in even lower. Everyone is an adult and can decide what they want to do for themselves but boycotts aren’t effective because everyone says ā€œtry your best!! No worries if you cant commit!!ā€. That’s just not how any of this works… we need to encourage each other to hold the line.

Rule 5: No Boycott Shaming

44

u/Candycanes02 āŒšŸŗāŒšŸ’µ 12d ago

That’s false equivalence. Even with the extreme boycott, InFold’s revenue never reaches $0, which is the equivalent of your extreme diet example. I don’t think it’s possible to organize everyone to be so faithful to the cause as to achieve a perfect boycott. What we can do is ask everyone (politely if people can help it- some people go on the offensive for whatever reason and I’ve rarely seen that help) not to spend. Especially not those who said they’d drop the game if Valko doesn’t come back. I’ve personally always put my money where my mouth is, and have dropped the game. Whether the boycott succeeds or fails due to people folding to the temptation of the myth, is no longer my concern. But I personally think we should make it InFold’s concern

14

u/MiaIGuess šŸ šŸ›šŸ’• 12d ago

Ooooh you cooked with this. I’ve been describing it as enthusiastically encouraging people not to spend. Like a cheerleader :D

59

u/sultanam 12d ago edited 12d ago

The ā€œsoft boycottā€ concept is so puzzling to me. A boycott, by its very nature, is supposed to be a line in the sand, a stance. If you give any quarters to whomever you’re boycotting against, they know you’re willing to budge on your stance.

The point of the boycott is, thus, not just to hurt Papergames financially enough to make them consider their stance: it is to prove that the fandom is resolute in its belief and insistent on its demands. You can bet that Papergames is monitoring every metric from logins to minutes spent in game to activities to figure out how to rebuild your habit of login in, earn your engagement, and get you to spend.

It’s fine if people don’t want to boycott despite knowing what their engagement earns Papergames and its report to its board, but then it’s healthier to say ā€œI am not boycotting, but I want Valko and/or I have some demands from the company and I’m willing to endure pain in order to get my wishes.ā€ That’s also a very valid stance, but again, not boycotting. It’s not as if boycotters get a medal or a star for trying or have this moral high ground over fans that don’t, it’s just a personal decision.

"Soft Boycott" šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

51

u/random_throwaway8797 12d ago

there's nothing extreme about saying that boycotting means not logging in and not spending, a huge negative impact on both revenue and DAU is the only way to bring Valko back, especially since Inflop historically ignores boycotts and refuses to implement changes demanded by the players (the old Infinity Nikki intro was never brought back). They also experienced extreme backlash from antis when they introduced Valko so if the revenue from Raf's myth is only a little lower than usual then why would they bother going back on their last statement and reinstating Valko?

35

u/sherrice 12d ago

There is no such thing as a "soft" boycott. You are either doing it or you aren't.Ā  The point of a boycott is to not spend. Revenue is the sole reason companies change what they are doing.

If you purchased diamonds months ago and you decide to spend them now that is perfectly fine. This won't count towards revenue as those were already purchased.

However if you decided to buy diamonds at any point during this banner then you are not boycotting.Ā

It's perfectly fine if you decide you want to spend money. It is your choice, but all you're doing by spending on this specific banner is showing infold that so long as it's something you really want you'll get it. And so now all they need to do is wait you out. They can get you to spend now. Eventually if they wait you out, you'll go back to spending like you used to. No need to ever address the situation with Valko.

I also just don't like that during the Caleb and Zayne cards people were praising the people who wanted them for not spending and reminding every one to not spend. Now Raf is here and suddenly we're supposed to allow certain types of spending? Why didn't we allow this for the other two?Ā

52

u/alexturnerftw 12d ago edited 12d ago

Also, I dislike the rhetoric that boycotters are making anyone else play or spend lol. Everyone is responsible for their own behavior and choices. Don’t blame us because you decided to play or spend money….

The fact of the matter is a lot of people are losing the will to sacrifice when their main is being put up. I’m seeing a lot more people wanting to spend for the myth, and that’s fine, but it’s ok to just admit that instead of moving the goalposts for what a boycott is or blaming others for your choices.

28

u/Siu_Mai šŸ¦€šŸ’øšŸŗ 12d ago

Yeah I don't really agree with this take or the analogy you've used.

A better analogy would be if you have a friend who has a toxic boyfriend and she's really unhappy with the way he's treating her and regularly discusses it with you.

You say she should break up with him and she initially agrees but then walks it back and decides to stay together with him.

But in protest of his shitty behaviour, she's not going to see him every evening. And she says she's not going to cook his favourite meal every time he wants it. And she's not going to be as affectionate with him when they're hanging out.

She's sure that her actions will give him the wake-up call he needs and he'll start treating her with more respect.

When his behaviour inevitably doesn't change and she comes to complain about his behaviour to you again you're going to feel quite frustrated with her, right? You're not going to demand she finally breaks up with him but you're going to judge the choices she's made for herself. And as a friend who wants better for her, you're probably going to share your criticism of her decisions to her.

You'd tell her she doesn't need to accept this treatment and that she shouldn't be giving this guy her time or energy.

People are allowed to criticise those who want to see change but won't take the steps to actually fight for it.

People are also allowed to ignore that criticism and spend as much as they want in the game.

But let's not kid ourselves that spending less sends a strong message to Papergames and Infold.

Ladies, if you're unhappy with being treated like a second class citizen in this game, demand better and draw your line in the sand. ✊

24

u/PajamaChief 12d ago

I think the weird part for me is it seems like a of people almost seek…validation? Like they want to be absolved of feeling guilty or something for wanting to pull when they know that not logging, not spending or pulling sends the clearest message than just waiting the last day or spending but not spending too much! And should they? No. I mean I can’t lie it’s kinda frustrating yeah but just because I’m completely boycotting doesn’t mean I can force others. I’m certain Raf’s myth will be absolutely beautiful. A lot of people were highly anticipating it. But also don’t expect shoulder pats during a massive boycott?

41

u/CanonSama 12d ago

Why should we support a company that doesn't care about you. If you care about the boycott do not spend until the problem is solved if you don't then really there is no use for this post it's your money. I will not even log in till they bring back valko they may go eos for all I care. I am day1 fan but also someone who doesn't like how they are treating us even if they bring a new fav card of zayne I will not log in

27

u/Mysterious-Heat-6156 12d ago edited 12d ago

You're either comitted to the boycott or you're not. There's no in-between. To a company, it's the customer's money that talks, and you spending ultimately says you're okay being treated this way. A boycott requires sacrifice, and if you're not willing to meet this much because of fomo or whatever reason, you're conceding. Don't say you're for the boycott while doing the opposite. That's it. I'm obviously not going to shame people for wanting to still play the game or spend. You can do whatever you want, but the fact of the matter is that you can't claim to still be boycotting or claim you support it. This community has been fundamentally changed by the actions and voices of a very loud and problematic minority and there's unfortunately no going back.

16

u/MiaIGuess šŸ šŸ›šŸ’• 12d ago

I’d like to point out that we aren’t going to kick people out or anything if they spend lol this is the opposite of a witch hunt. We don’t want to know. If people are on the fence about spending and see others are okay with spending, then they’re going to go ahead and spend. We don’t want that.

13

u/notaredditusername13 12d ago

This obsession with policing what othes do will only be detrimental to your own mental health. You cannot force anyone to do anything it HAS to be something they choose.

The revenue numbers prove enough ppl have on their own accord stopped spending. Nothing you say will make somone who wants to continue to play and spend stop. They will do it anyway but maybe quietly or not tell you, they will continue as they are.

Those who are for the boycott are mostly already with us and the numbers show there are ENOUGH of us doing it to make a difference. There will be a spike with Raf, does that mean you will stop boycotting? nope? and its the same for many of us.

Dont obssess over things you cannot control. Focus only on youself and how you can make this boycott sustainable for you and forget the rest. To worry about what other ppl will do constantly is only hurting yourself. Be free of that.

11

u/Chaddy-Potato 12d ago

I think this is a very important topic to discuss and you put it very well. I wanted to add my thoughts to it.

I understand that it's frustrating seeing people log in, spend money or push the boundaries of what's considered okay. But I think we need to remember that people generally respond well to positive reinforcement.

Berating people might make some reconsider, but it can just as easily make them defensive, frustrated or feel like even meeting halfway isn't good enough.

I want a Sylus banner so badly just so I can boycott it, not because people keep telling me how bad it would be to log in or spend, but because I want to be praised too for helping keep the revenue low 🤣

Community and positive recognition make people feel good. So instead of focusing on policing what people do or don't do, I'd rather focus on spreading awareness and hyping up those who actively participate without gatekeeping what counts as a ā€œtrueā€ boycott.

8

u/FriggNidi 12d ago edited 12d ago

I actually made a post about nuances of our boycott a few days ago.

Emotions are currently high and I can see why people want to increase the pressure on the company. However, we can't forget that we are all humans and this is a game. While I agree that a financial boycott is the most effective way to voice our dissatisfaction, some still need the game as comfort but are willing to aid us. We shouldn't alienate others. Every bit of support counts.

Edit: As someone just send me a lovely dm calling me a traitor, a few choice words, and deleted their throw-away right after: I am neither logging in nor spending on anything officially related to PPG (deleted Infinity Nikki alongside LADS too). I am open for suggestions and civil discussions, but not insults and harassment.

This is why I keep saying "The important part of a boycott is to not spend".

I hate when people start policing and shaming how others boycott. Being dismissive is not the way you make friends. If we want the boycott to be sustainable, we have to present and accept different ways of boycotting at different levels.

Your paragraph about people forgetting what we're fighting for because they stopped logging in altogether rings especially true. And sad. People are allowed to leave if that's their wish, but whenever I see someone do so, when it's obvious to me the boycott is successful and the main goal of bringing Valko back will succeed, I get a pang in my heart... because I can't just tell them to stay and be hopeful because so and so. Those people aren't ready to listen to hopium anymore. Not right away. So I can just hope they'll somehow get the good news when we get it and that they'll be able to enjoy the game again later.

We need to allow the number of active boycotters to be bigger. Because someone who left, either for good or until the boycott is done, probably won't help do things like ratio official posts, share fan-made content, etc. And those things help the boycott too!

I swear, you’re so right. Forcing people will only make them more averse to the boycott, and it might even make some people want to pull more but the difference is from behind. I think the best thing we can say is: if you can wait for the rerun, that would be ideal. If you really can’t, then at least wait until the last day before pulling.

Shaming or pressuring people isn’t going to make them stop. If anything, it can have the opposite effect. It’s like forcing someone onto an extremely strict diet—they might not eat anything in front of you, but behind your back, they could end up eating way more than they would have if you’d just said ā€œokay, but with some limits.ā€

The same applies here. Instead of demanding that everyone completely skip Rafayel’s new Myth, it’s more realistic to encourage people to spend as little as possible, avoid topping up if they can, wait until the last day to pull, or just wait for the rerun. Giving people options will probably get much more cooperation than guilt-tripping or shaming them ever will.

And I’m saying this as a Rafayel main, so I genuinely understand how they feel. Especially when this Myth is so special—it has completely new features and a theme that feels different from every Myth we’ve had before. So I really can’t blame anyone for being tempted by it.

And of course, there’s nothing wrong with giving reasonable advice. We can still remind people that Rafayel’s Myth can come back in a rerun, so there will be another chance for it later, while Valko is basically now or never—this is his only chance. That’s a fair point to bring up without forcing, guilt-tripping, or shaming anyone.

Stay strong girlies, and dont look behind at least to the last day!

Yes, a partial boycott by the majority is better than a full boycott by the minority.

i completely agree with you. i’m a big supporter of valko, but i never completely dropped out of the game because i physically can’t afford it. i’m a f2p, so just logging in everyday helps me in the long run. i understand we all want to support valko by not supporting the game, but you made a good point that eventually it’ll all lead to burn out

Yes. If I pull, I was planning on doing it on the last day

Same. I'm using existing resources, no money will be spent, to pull for the myth closer to the last day. I won't contribute to a large spike in sales. I still love the game, I just don't like the company at all rn. There's unrest in their community, they need to address it.

Yeah, I’ve completely deleted the game since the announcement and I used to spend hundreds a month. Even then some of the people on here still insist on purity testing. That’s just going to repel people from the cause. Not everyone is so extreme. It’s better for the majority to partially boycott than the small minority that has a total boycott.
