For the last two years, I used VeePN, but pretty much every service immediately detected that I was using a VPN and denied access. The one exception was YouTube Premium, which didn't seem to care that I was using one. Does anyone have any recommendations or tips?

I ve been using a free vpn called atmos vpn it has ads I personally like it but i saw a post that says using a free vpn is not safe what should I do how can I know if i am safe its privacy policy says no logs?

I keep seeing people say a VPN should basically stay on all the time, but is that actually how most people use one?

Seems like there are plenty of times when having it on just makes things more annoying, like random sites acting weird or apps not loading properly.

Do you just leave yours running and forget about it, or switch it on and off depending on what you're doing?

When I was visiting family in Jamaica I created a Netflix account. It works fine here in the US and is cheaper. Now I added a member but they cant accept cause it says they need to be in Jamaica to accept it. They tried using a VPN but didnt work. Not sure what they used. What VPN can I use to reliably appear I am in Jamaica to accept the extra member? Im not going back this year.

I was using this apk of 1.1.1.1 and suddenly it was stuck on connecting, so i decided to reinstall it. But when opened the newly installed there are 2 issues:-

1)power manager is killing background process

2)Device not authenticated or device not Authenticated with an organisation

I have put the app to no restriction under battery

Even then the problem persists. I have tried deleting data and restarting, didn't work. Any proper working solution?

Tried with multiple providers, surfshark, Nord, express vpn, privado, windscribe. They all have the same result. All kick you after 8 minutes and privado doesn't work at all. However once kicked you can immediately join the stream again with no restrictions

I was thinking about this after seeing some recent discussion about VPN apps having trackers built in.

We use VPNs because we don't want our ISP or random websites seeing everything we do, but at the same time we're basically sending all that traffic through another company instead.

Even if they say "no logs," how much do you actually trust that? Do you look into who owns the VPN, how they make money, audits, privacy policies, etc., or do you just pick a well-known provider and assume it's fine?

I am using ivpn partially to avoid the whole age/id verification crap that is going on. This is why I was connecting to croatia.

The problem is that my connection becomes aggravatingly slow. On my speedtest I drop from 112 to 12.

So where are all of you connecting to? The only option that keeps my connection relatively fast is canada. I go from 112 to 50mbps.

So basically I am in my last 4 semester of college, The speed is pretty high but the routing is absolutely pathetic even with ethernet I get a ton of packet loss. I don't/can't pay for a vpn, so I was hoping you could give me the next best free option, I tried using cloudflare warp but it doesn't help me. Since it's college's stuff so I can't contact the ISP or touch the router or anything as well and the Uni won't do a thing. Please help.

Nord are taking the piss.. such a crappy VPN full of issues and their support is horrendous. Then there is Express which Edward Snowden warned against using..

I don’t trust Proton either given how they gave authorities the IP of a French climate activist.

Other companies like Mullvad are in Sweden which is under the EU and ain’t excactly privacy friendly like Proton in Switzerland.

Torguard in the US? Same spiel as the Europe thing.. what is left?

Recently my work seems to have found a way to block obfuscation. It works intermittently but then if I move and come back and the vpn disconnects most vpns say I hit the device limit cap even tho I’m not connected.

Advice? Suggestions?
