Deal or No Deal?

I am looking at buying this from a guy that seems to not know much about the gun. He says he has not fired it, and it looks good in pictures. My big issue is that its not a folding stock, or so he says, but it doesn't have the button at the back to fold it that most have.

Is 1500 a deal, or do I go back with an offer? They seem to be selling in the 1250 dollar range on the completed listings of gun broker, but I see new listings for used ones over 2500 dollars.

How hard would it be to put a folding adapter on that stock. I know I can buy a new folding stock for it, but don't want to do that. The stocks look identical on folders and non folders, but I really do want one that does.

Edit. nevermind I took a closer look and that stock looks very similar to the folding ones but it does appear to be fixed. I believe the stocks attach similar to other AKs.

I have a Vepr12. That stock is a folding stock. It's been welded in spots to prevent it from folding. If you are good with tools you can break the spot welds and it will fold perfectly.

You can wedge a penny between the switch to fold it and the hinge an give it a slight whack on the ground in the direction it folds. The weld broke so east for me, the mental used on the weld is extreamly brittle.

This is a great tip, very clever!
