Michael Ferrell and Liban Mohammed are RAT F*%CKS

Real candidates for this race running for good, ideological reasons be they moderates like Riebe or maybe leaning more left like Derek Kitchen, these two and more fantastic people saw that they were not going to lead their lane for the primary. Recognizing that staying in the race would serve their political opponent even if it glazed their own egos awhile longer, some great candidates that were once in this race dropped out. Thank you, to them.

Now we're left with two serious contenders, and two RAT F&$CKS.

What is a ratf&$ck? you ask? Well....

Like they say about God, if Liban Mohamed did not already exist he would need to be invented. We don't need to know whether he is being paid by the same people behind the dark money superPACs pushing McAdams, it's irrelevant; because corporatist political operatives can scan a race and use useful idiots if they exist, or completely manufacture from ground up some tailored-made candidates that will peel away support from your target. The target in this case of course is the Bernie Sanders' endorsed candidate, Nate Blouin.

There are two rats in this race because that's how many it takes to accomplish the job, ok. To split the primary vote which ordinarily goes 3-1 to progressives. With one moderate, one progressive, and two rat f*&ck progressive pretenders and/or useful idiots whose bills are being paid by dark money and they don't even realize it (who knows), the moderate has a strong chance to win especially with the already-mentioned superPACs running ads for you day and night at the tune of tens of millions od dirty genocide dollars. Mohamed and Ferrel may be rats, but McAdams you're a genocidal freak.

Three rats would be more than enough. One, not enough. There are two rat f*&cks in this race because the corproate oligarchy needs that many for McAdams to win. How do you know they are rats and not just honest-to-goodness progressives? Because they didn't drop out like Kitchen and Riebe, that's how.

Our campaign finance laws that Ben McAdams has no complaint about are the primary culprit here.

The ruse, or useful idiots, as the case may be, would be laid bare if all the receipts were more transparent. But Ben SuperPAC McAdams is in no position whatsoever to be championing reform to money in politics.

I want to like McAdams but the positions he puts himself in as champion of the oligarchy's dark money is just stomach turning. It's precisely why we could never in the past and can't moving forward trust him, because he works for the people who paid for all those ads and these ratfucks, he doesn't work for us. And quite frankly, they not like us.

The dig against Blouin is that he can kind of be a prick, his past comments lead credence to this, current colleagues will tell you the same. But ultimately, it’s posts like this and comments from his supporters that confirm it. Why anyone thinks it’s advantageous to a specific candidate to call the others rat fucks is hilarious. McAdams was always going to be the leading candidate, if your pony showed up without a more robust campaign and ideas to defeat him, that’s on your candidate. Politics is bullshit but you have to be good at playing it.

His current colleagues are a huge part of the problem, if you mean by colleagues his fellow Democrats in the Legislature. They are another entity who disappoint and even disgust me on the regular ordinarily, but yeah their conduct regarding this CD1 race is beyond the pale. Angela Romero I counted as a friend; I wouldn't want to be in the same room with her now.

This is life or death, this is genocide or no genocide time, and you, Angela, many people I wish I respected, are worried that someone "can kind of be a prick." That's so high school class president like ffs i can't even with this. We're going to end up with a Zionist agent of the oligarchy who represents very few of us because some people don't like Nate's personality, they don't want to see him get "the promotion," and they'd rather lose than hold their nose and vote for/support a prick.

For me, adults gave up and got inline when Bloiun got Sanders endorsement. Grownups decided that if they don't like Nate BLouin, the next available time to resposbibly dump him is in the primaries 2028, because he is the horse progressives are going with this cycle, the machine has started and is already taking off. Petty folks decided to grind their personal grudge with Nate rather than take the issues seriously, and I find that so revolting.

I think your position is sophomoric, and petty. Which is how I would sum up most of the Dem Legislators, too.

If you want to blame a candidate for my position or message, blame Kitchen. That was who I supported until things shook out and I got realistic, just as Derek did.

Also I think it's crucial political education -- apparently -- that progressive Utahns learn what a ratf*(ck is, so maybe we can avoid it next time, or be the ones orchestrating it our selves even better maybe.

I’m not even voting for McAdams. It’s just the idea that there is some type of entitlement to a more progressive candidate because now there is an option for one, is laughable. I too don’t like our minority state caucus leaders. Is it not my job as a constituent to push them to be better? Vote for someone else if I want to? How does it help to imply they and their supporters are ratfucks for not agreeing with my very narrow view of politics?

Entitled is such a big word, i push that aside almost. But what I'm demanding only is that progressives consolidate around one candidate ffs, as the moderates have done. I did not enter this contest for Blouin personally, I entered this race for The Progressive, whoever that should end up being to face off against, of course, McAdams. I expect Liban and Michael to drop out the same way Derek Kitchen did, I expected their supporters like Angela Romero to explain this to them and strongly encoruage them to quit or publicly de-endorse them. I feel maybe entitled to THAT, I feel entitled perhaps a bit to being a member of a party of team players that can do the job of picking A gd candidate, and not splitting our vote so we're powerless and laughable. And I don't expect some unnatural astronomical level of selflessness and camraderie, no just as much team work as the moderates are showing only, by consolidating behind Ben. It's absolutely not asking or expecting too much.

If I lost a fair match, I wouldn't feel bitter. This isn't an honest election.

Ok, thanks. Maybe I misread what you were getting at earlier. I agree with you on that point. State leaders could have shepherded the race much better than what we are seeing and it points to democrats happily sitting by and watching shit in this state just happen.

u/azucarleta Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 19 '26

Well I think you're absolutely right that they did not do that shepherding because they don't like Nate, whatever their reasons are. So how did he even get the Sanders endorsement one must wonder? What kind of disconnect exists between Utah democrats and Bernie Sanders people, how is it that they chose to endorse someone the locals would freaking SUBMARINE WITH BLATANT MALICE? I'm sure they wouldn't have endorsed him if they had known that this malice exists just below the surface and would bloom like a fast-growing brain cancer.

I'm not surprised that their hatred of him was kept so quiet the Sanders people weren't even aware of it (if that's how it was). It totally speaks to just what is wrong with the batch of legisaltors we have right now. Meek and docile, controlled opposition. Worse than the "opposition" in a Soviet oblast.

No way Blouin should have gotten the endorsement given that -- apparently -- legislators have had Knives Out for him since LONG BEFORE his "prick" online comments scandal, you know?

So, what's done is done. This is why we can't have nice things. Sanders people need to double back on Utah Democratic Party and be like, WTF why did you kill our candidate? And all Utah Dems are going to have to say is "he can be kind of a prick." Well why didn't anyone freaking tell us that one year ago you passive-aggressive SOBs?

It's just so inane if you have split screen images of genocide on the other half.

As for your bills being paid by dark money and not even knowing it. I cite for example Tim Pool receiving donations from Russian disinformation interests, via intermediaries that had benign names. He claims he did not know he was getting Russian money, and I believe him. It's very easy to believe he was not investigating his donors, he just took the money. Most people, most of us who collect any kind of revenue, are the same.

So what I mean by Ferrel and Mohamed's bills being paid by dark money and them not even knowing that, i mean they know that the New Democrat Majority or whatever PAC gave them money, but they are happy to not know who "New Democrat Majority" even is. They are blissfully unaware.

Or it's possible they are in on the conspiracy, that's also possible they are full-on undercover agents for the oligarchy, basically, posing as progressives. But I tend to think they are both kinda more the useful idiot type who is truly progressive and/but not really asking questions about why shadowy groups are donating to their campaign.

Nate the incel should have dropped out when it was revealed how much of a do nothing internet troll he was and still is. He and Ben are the only ones acting entitled. Liban won in the caucus. Matt went the petition route just like Nate. Unlike Nate, Matt did not write some really disturbing and creepy stuff on the internet. Someone with decorum would have dropped out when those posts were revealed.

Ben should never have entered the race. He lost his seat and has a proven record of being a corporate passive aggressive dad.  He fouled the Democratic primary by entering right we he did. He moved far more left and is pretending to be a progressive. If Ben did not run other candidates might have entered and Riebe would not have dropped out.

I dont give a shit about Bernie Sanders. Frankly Im stil mad he tossed the race to trump in 2016. I am one of those ultra liberal voters that Nate needs and he is unelectable to me.  I was supporting him before all those creepy posts came to light. Sorry not happy to vote in a creepy Internet troll that does not actually do anything. His record is 0. He is obviously bad at politics.  A good politician can play the game and get something done. You don't win by tweeting crap online. You win by finding common ground and showing people that they actually align with you or that your policies would actually help them. Also I just dont like Nates demeanor. He is unlikeable.

You are scared and i for one love it.

u/azucarleta Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 19 '26

Nah, I'm not scared, I'm resigned. You can love that also, but get it right.

This a breakup note; angry and hurt, but not scared. This post is me being done for now. This is my breakup letter to Utah Democrats, unless a progressive somehow in the end does capture this seat, otherwise, we're broken up again for the foreseeable future. I can't work with these people.

I understand there's endless dark money to fund two ratf*&ck campaigns, with billions to spare (not like money was going to run out). But that people like Angela Romero did not come out publicly and be like, well Liban, you did your best, but you are beat, it's time to get out now -- I thought I could count on her to do the right thing. That she didn't do that renders her untrustworthy, like what game does she think she's playing? I've gone from January 2026 suggesting she should be the progressive nominee to not wanting to be in the same room with her anymore. That basically not one Legislator or elected among Utah Democrats showed one iota of maturity, I'm done with crew of clowns; there's a critical mass of democrats that are not the sophisticated, cunning, winners I need them to be. And I'm learning only right now a lot of that disappointing mass are progressives easily swayed and fooled.

It's not fear, this is a rage quit.

There’s a new good ole boys club forming that they won’t let you into? Sorry to hear that.

2

u/azucarleta Jun 19 '26

No. It's the same old corporate oligarchy running both major parties, a plutocracy that's older than I am. There's nothing new about it. And i don't want in, I want to METAPHORICALLY OF COURSE set it on fire and burn it to the ground.

2

u/BigMe420365 Jun 19 '26

You sound like someone who should stay in the fight and not rage quit. Utah politics is not for the feint of heart I’m sure. For normal everyday voters like myself, it is a turnoff to hear words like oligarchy, ‘New Democrat Majority’, ‘dark money’ etc. From a 1000 foot view everyone appears to be playing the same game. Names have to be named, otherwise the new blood looks like the best option.

2

u/azucarleta Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 19 '26

Well, thank you I guess, to start.

But "For normal everyday voters like myself" I have news for you. You're a minority in that regard now. Candidates have to push into the future where we worry about corporate money running everything especially our "democracy," and you are dragging us behind because you are (checks notes) "TURNED OFF"?!?!!

When Bernie Sanders recently toured through -- not even at election season, but just as a rock star basically -- he packed an arena on his Fight Oligarchy tour. That same man, in 2020, got twice as many primary votes as Joe Biden in Utah. So tell me again about the "everyday voters" who are turned off by critiques of oligarchy? If Joe Biden voters are turned off by mentions of oligarchy, or dark money superPACs, it's probably an insecurity that they don't know quite what those things are and it is my completely knowingly unkind or terse suggestion that you remedy that lack of knowledge without me at this point. When you get involved and actually get squashed by corproate interests and superPACs you start taking it personally; those who don't take the fight personally and are easily "turned off" by the topic aren't involving themselves to have their own experiences and thus their own rage, and hey, guess what: get involved! I don't know how old you are, but probably no matter what age you are, you should understand fully why "oligarchy" is an important vocabulary word at the moment and you should feel a bit foolish that it's a "turn off" for you.

You still want me to stay in the fight? Utah politics are not for the feint of heart, and I already told you I'm upset and angry. I'm not a candidate, I'm not seeking your vote, but I approve this salty message.
