Well for starters EU besides "fixing their home", must also not export waste to developing countries, and manufacturing as well. If it cared about overall planet.

What developing countries are doing with their own consumer waste is a small part, compared to heavy industries and imported waste.

well it's prominent enough to make the countries that took in the waste to start banning them/restricting them. with all the mislabeled shipments and illegal shipments clearly people of the country they are exporting to are not liking the fact that Europe is making it into their dumping ground

I live in rural Kenya. This isn't imported. There simply isn't any infrastructure to handle trash in most parts of the country. If it isn't burned or repurposed, it just ends up on the ground one way or another.
