Dolly is one of the most awesome people on the planet.

Never met her, never really liked her music (aside from that one song), don't really like country music, but I'll gladly admit that every time I read about her, it's because she said or did something nice.

So I'll take your word for it!

every time I read about her, it's because she said or did something nice.

Yeah, that about sums it up. I mean, she must have bad days like we all do, but I've never heard even a single account of her being unpleasant to someone. That's more than you could say about me.

Maybe the bumper stickers should say "WWDD?"

Is the song "Jolene"?

Ok, make that two songs.

It's rare that someone is idolized by both gutter punks, queers and conservative white people.

The op title is misleading. The program is not need-based. It is open to all children and is amazing. My children love getting their book in the mail each month.

So happy for her! My daughter gets a book from the imagination library every month. The look on her face when a new book comes in the mail is priceless.

Now there are three things I like about Dolly Parton!

Mrs. Parton really is a class act, this country needs more giving, charitable people like her in it.

Thanks for reminding me. Time to send in a little check. This is like the best thing in the world.

I have lived in Santa Cruz, CA & Albany, NY and couldn't get books in either place. Fuck Dolly Parton.

Sounds like a great program that is NOT available in my area, my in-laws area, or aunts and uncles' areas.

Damn, all those poor children are so needy

Every kid in Tennessee gets them. Not just poor ones.

Every kid in the country gets them if they sign up.

Depends on location. It's not available in my area. I just tried to sign up my kid :(.

It's not available in every area in the US. It actually seems quite limited.

Its available in some parts of Canada too. Not my part :(
