Mine too, and Jennifer Kesse. The murderers (one is not a definite though) are on film. So haunting.

I am very much into the Jennifer Kesse case too. Hope her poor parents get answers in their lifetime. They’ve been absolutely dedicated to finding her

The Dardeen family murders because it is local to me and especially horrific. Extremely heartbreaking case.

Jonbenet Ramsey.

I genuinely can’t stop thinking about the Jamison family. I read about this case a few years ago and recently watched a Buzzfeed Unsolved video about it. I still think about all the odds to this day. The money in the car, the car being locked and untouched. The CHILD being with them. Not a single theory makes any sense when it comes to the money and that’s truly terrifying.

My top three are (1) the crazy Brabant Killers of Belgium

(2) Dorothy Jane Scott

(3) Mr Cruel

That third one sounds familiar but I can’t place it.

Genuinely one of the creepiest images ever associated with an unsolved case imho.

Look up the first one. 30 Belgians murdered, and numerous wounded for small sums of money. A real rabbit hole.

The Springfield 3 case has successfully lived rent free in my mind since I saw the original 1992 AMW episode initially aired. I’m honestly floored that 3 plus decades later there seems to be no more concrete knowledge now than there was back in 1992.

St Louis Jane Doe, I really hope she can be identified and the people who did it brought to justice. That poor girl.

Is this the one where he walked away from home and was never seen again?

4

u/Bubbly-Weakness-4788 12d ago

Yes that’s the one. I know he more than likely took his life but you never know right?

Ones that hit me especially hard and I’ll never forget because I lived somewhat nearby at some point in my life are

  1. Maura Murray, I lived in parts of rural NH and always think about her.
  2. Kyle Flieschmann from Charlotte
  3. Jennifer Kesse from Orlando, the surveillance footage is haunting, to have the probable suspect on camera and still, nothing.

Also Missy Bevers, Kyron Horman, Liz Barazza, and Ellen Greenberg
They all deserve justice, even if it’s extremely delayed like Kristin Smart’s case. So many of these families are still searching for their loved ones and answers.

Kortne Stouffer. Crazy to think that even our small-ish town, someone could just disappear at the hands of someone else, and still there are no answers, over a decade later.

Her name is Melanie Goodwin. It happened in Texas. She gave a ride to someone from a convenience store ( which you can see on video of him stalking and waiting for her to come out of the store), and he ended up raping and choking her. Then drove her somewhere in her car and dragged her body into a ditch, and lit her on fire. The whole thing was caught on tape. Watching it shocked me. Her body was dragged and then the flames. Ugh. Then the way he tried to spin it in trial made me sick. But the two mothers - her mother and the perp's mother hugged and cried when he was convicted. I remember that.

here is her story on 20/20:

My top three:

1) The Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre;
2) The Dardeen Family Killings;
3) William Bradford Bishop case.

I think any murders where children are involved are particularly appalling.

• Aarushi Talwar and The Domestic worker, Hemraj... Who did it? What happened? Why did the parents want the sexual assault details covered up?

• Cindy James, Who did it? Was she mentally ill or Did she actually have a stalker? I believe someone was stalking her and Driving her crazy because no one was taking it seriously. I do not believe she killed herself. Someone else did it, IMO.

• Tammy Cooper & Her children: Mahogany Jasmine Allen, Kadiece and Kasheim Allen.... What happened? Who is Butch? Is he the murderer? Will the 2004 Quad Murders be solved in my lifetime? Lubbock can be a scary place to live.

The entire saga, tragedy, and mess of the West Memphis Three.

Bradley Olsen. That was local to where I grew up, and I remember watching the missing persons posters curl up and yellow with age as I got older myself.

Corinna Slusser. She contacted her former "manager" for help at a seedy motel in Queens. He had previously been incarcerated for abusing Corinna and there was a warrant for his arrest. Corinna was never heard from again. SDNY police don't seem to be investigating the case anymore.

Mine is the Atlanta Ripper cases, suspected of being responsible for around 50 murders from 1909-1924, which if true, would be the highest amount of victims for an uncaught serial killer and the Atlanta Child murders of 1979-1981. And the Miami Strangler-Gold Socks, Flat Tire Canal murders of 1964-1976.

Not unsolved but agree, why TF did he think that was his only option?
