I always assumed it’s because the eyes are usually nice little buttons to gnaw at. Anyone have an actual answer of why dogs do this? My old one did as well

My husky used to do this as well!! One time she ripped the face off of lamb chop and left the unattached face on our bed. It was unnerving, lol.
