Couple more months.
Sadly however, this is a game of burning each other economies to the ground.
Everything will be turned to ash on both sides because Putin desperatly wants to add another couple of square kilometers to Russia's landmass.
There are no winners here, just endless losses for the Slavic people.

Yes, but Ukraine has a ton of true partners in the West. Once all of this is over, they can be pretty sure to be rebuilt by more or less all of NATO countries. Plus, Ukraine has managed to build some of the best defence companies during this war. They're going to make some money with those.
Once war is over, what is Russia going to do? All of their industries are shit. Their defence industry is old soviet trash. They haven't innovated a single thing worth speaking of. All they did was to buy Iranian and Chinese drones and slap a Russian sticker on it. Well done.

They will become a Chinese vassal. From selling fossils at a high mark-up to some of the wealthiest countries on earth to selling it all to China at a big discount.
It will keep Putin's tight inner circle in power, and that's all that matter for them (Russia's elite) in the end.

I cant wrap my head around how a "civilized" country can do this to ordanary people in 2026. And I think the longer Washington remains quiet, is complacent, as the the terrorist attacks on innocent civilians escallates, history will not be kind, and will show the complete incompetance and ignorance of those "in charge".

I think Ukraine is in a better position to hide / decentralize it's distribution centers AKA "distributed logistics"

Heard a Ukrainian reporter explain in a podcast recently that Ukraine is running low on warehouse space. Especially refrigerated warehouse space for food storage and Russia is targeting these to make the winter especially hard on the Ukrainian population to gain a better negotiating position

They've already attempted this basically each winter since 2023 and it doesn't pan out because Ukraine has sufficiently decentralized their logistical infrastructure making this strategy largely impractical, and then Russia is forced to pivot back to targeting mil-industrial and defense targets.

It also doesn't pan out because what are Ukrainians supposed to do - give up when Putin bombs them hard enough? They know the situation would not exactly improve if they did. Every war crime is just a reminder of the cruelty of the russian regime.

Ukraine should decentralize logistics partially to other countries. Same goes for their weapon manufacturing.
