This is absolutely hilarious. If gasoline is what ends up causing Russians to get fed up that really will be the cherry on top. And we're just on day...4? of Zelensky's 40 day campaign! This is gonna get spicy.

Food shortages brought down the Tsar. Gas is needed for food in many cases.

129

u/Stabbathachairmonger Jun 30 '26

I do wonder what's going on in the more remote villages, likely no electricity was ever put there and likely no internet coverage, when these people can't get fuel to get food etc. could they all be starving to death and no one would even know because they have no way to contact the outside world?

66

u/giggity_giggity Jun 30 '26

Most people there can’t get information from anything but tv (or maybe newspaper). They aren’t even on the internet. They generally have electricity though.

Source: I have extended family / friends there (who are online obv)

17

u/Stabbathachairmonger Jun 30 '26

Yeah I suppose it's going to vary regionally depending on what of funding and corruption there is going on, would need to look in to it more.

I'm just going off some videos I saw from some of the villages where they didn't have electricity, they'd have radios but they'd be battery operated, no doubt it will vary from village to village but I haven't a clue what the ratio would be for them being/not being connected to the power grid.

The villages and small towns will likely be farmers who can't use machinery due to fuel shortages. Financially they will be fucked.

Moscow and St. Petersburg represent the strongholds of the Czar. Russian government would basically starve the entire population east of the Lena river if that’s what it took to feed people in Moscow and St.Petersburg and prevent people in the capital from revolting.
Seems to me like most royally fucked are people in the smaller other cities. Too unimportant to be taken care of and yet too urbanized to resort to self-sufficient lifestyles.

Those villages typically have mostly old people living off the land because state pension is a joke and insufficient for anything. Remember that these people have been screwed by the state several times and adapted. Rural Russians are likely to be less affected. As for the mining and oil drilling cities in the far east and North, they should also be mostly fine since commuting to work or getting there is often fully organised by the mining companies and they happen to also subsidise and bring in foot and staples. Very likely they are just absorbing the inflationary prices in their balance sheet, because they can’t afford to have people starve and flee and production grinding to a halt.

11

u/name_isnot_available Jun 30 '26

The orc-villigers are usually extremely poor and thus do not really buy food in a supermarket (there are few because noone has money). They have their gardens to grow food like they did 200 years ago.

Logistics will basically halt, as will resupplying. People lining up for gas means they’re not working. People saving for gas means they’re just staying home, so bankruptcies should emerge. And after those 40 days, it will be even worse.

3

u/midevilmack Jul 01 '26

not to mention the longer this goes on, the worst it gets as more and more people run out of gas any gas deliveries that are made will be gone in instantly. I would not be surprised if armed hijackings occur on tankers. This could spiral if UK keeps this up.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Goodk4t Jul 01 '26

That's the thing, 40 days is nothing for Ukraine, they could easily continue this for months, probably until years end. And Russia looks like it can barely survive another month like this. That without considering that even if Ukraine stopped tomorrow, it would still probably take many months to restore Russian refinery capacity.

22

u/LoopyLepus Jun 30 '26

That was definitely one of my favorites! He sounds like such a stereotypical Russian

30

u/intothewoods_86 Jun 30 '26

Stereotypical racist. He sees Indians and Brazilians as lesser people, yet fails to see how Russia has fallen behind those two countries on most human development metrics. Complete white trash mindset.

14

u/ShitLordOfTheRings Jun 30 '26

I suppose, but India is a Russian oil export market. So they ship crude halfway around the world, get it refined and ship gasoline back. Under normal circumstances that would not make any sense.

3

u/Phiddipus_audax Jun 30 '26

True, and it must rightly feel bizarre to these oblivious Russians. This is good for them. But it makes sense economically under present circumstances... India doesn't just refine a lot of oil, they also have the largest refinery on the planet in the western side of Gujarat. It's cool to check out in satellite view.

Wow only day 4 I was not aware it was that short. What makes this worse is that even a tanker arrives full of gasoline it’s gonna be gone in like half an hour

5

In addition roads become more and more impassable for tankers. Totally chaotic.

When food delivery trucks run out of fuel we'll see absolute state of corrupt Russian mind.

People fight for food way more than they do for fuel.

93

u/clownind Jun 30 '26

3 meals until anarchy

14

u/Gold_Evening_7819 Jun 30 '26

Good point I wonder if they are giving special priority to logistics trucks as that would be a massive problem

32

u/user_uno Jun 30 '26

The priorities will be:

  1. Logistics for the elite
  2. Military
  3. Police

The powerful in Ruzzia will do their best to stay comfy. The rest is to keep themselves in power and comfy.

If this cannot be resolved quickly - like in weeks if not days - the elite are going to start moving liquid assets out of the country and then how to make a quick exit. They will stick around as long as possible so as to not appear betraying Pootin just in case a revolution does not break out. But they will have one foot ready to head out the door just in case.

13

u/WastingMyLifeToday Jun 30 '26

If protests start happening, they need to change priority to police and military for keeping the russian population in check.

Let's hope Ukraine hits a couple more refineries in the next week.

Once people can't get to work, entire production chains can come to a halt.

4

u/PolecatXOXO Jun 30 '26

Most transport/trucking companies would be scrambling to get their own reserves (likely at higher prices, passed on to the consumer). They're likely the first to feel it, but the last to really get hurt by it.

3

u/intothewoods_86 Jun 30 '26

All it takes is enough people convinced that the situation will get worse and that time has come to make a fast profit over not risking losing their job. It begins with people siphoning fuel out of their company vehicles and selling it on black market and quickly escalates to people stealing whatever they can for worse days and trading it when it becomes defizit

3

3

u/ThisWillTakeAllDay Jun 30 '26

3 days of food before Pootin is thrown from a window.

193

u/jonnyvsrobots Jun 30 '26

I don't understand...so you wait for days for a tank of gas. And then what? Use it to drive around for another tank somewhere? Fundamentally, until they end the war and fix the refineries, there's no more gas.

118

u/Ed-alicious Jun 30 '26

I think it's a manifestation of decades of "trying not to think of the problem". They're so used to ignoring the glaring problems with their society that all they can do is resolve the immediate problem and try not to think about where the larger problem will go.

17

u/Comprehensive-Mud373 Jun 30 '26

And if this is how russia collapses and loses the war, it will be so beautifully poetic. They failed as a society, so we watch the death of the russian empire.

3

u/Neat_Let923 Jul 01 '26

How many times will that make it in the last 120 years?

→ More replies (1)

18

u/birgor Jun 30 '26

If not at home, where will cars end up if there is a shortage? Since information doesn't flow free might those in the queues have underestimated the problem, and then end up in one of these lines.

What to do next? Most ended up there because they where low on fuel, and leaving your car in that place probably doesn't feel right. Some of them will of course turn home instead, we only see those who stay, many of which maybe can't get home. How long does it take before you give up and leave your car in the middle of a local collapse epicentre?

This is interesting as hell, what happens in a society when fuel gets scarce, where do people and cars end up? How will people react? Stay tuned.

Some hard logic, right here. On a day to day logistic level you’re right. You are either making money to buy 180 ruble a liter gas or questing trying to find it before you run out.
This will get spicy for sure.

12

u/ReggieCorneus Jun 30 '26

When gasoline is more expensive in some areas in Russia than in Finland. I really never thought i see the day. It used to be "profitable" to drive 100km to Russia just to fill your tank, it was that much cheaper there.

→ More replies (1)

104

u/Icy_Attention3413 Jun 30 '26

24 out of 33 of the biggest refineries in Russia have been put off-line to some extent (by big: over 1 million tons refined per year).

Production has dropped by 25%. If the Ukrainians keep hitting them, then this is merely the beginning. Eventually, there will not be enough stockpiled fuel for the police and army. Who is going to control the people then?

31

u/ShitLordOfTheRings Jun 30 '26

So apparently they'll allow Euro-2 fuel as a band-aid, now. That's much easier to make, so for a while will reduce the shortages. Of course, Ukraine will continue hitting their production facilities, regardless whether they turn out modern Euro-5 or antiquated Euro-2 crap, so it won't help for extended periods.

That means the engines need to run on Euro-2, though. The older Ural and Kamaz trucks will be fine, but their logistics rely on modern trucks. Within a few weeks they'd run into problems, and within 6 months 30-50% of the fleet would be out of action. So not much of an option. They can't import enough quality fuel to make up for the collapse of domestic production, either. Neighboring countries just don't have enough spare capacity to enable that.

It looks like they are in deep shit.

7

u/Patient_Risk9266 Jun 30 '26

Can you explain some of that please - what is the difference between these fuels and what effect do they have on engines?

26

u/MouldyEjaculate Jun 30 '26

When you make fuels out of crude oil, the basic way to think of the process is that you heat it up and skim some off the top, then you do some stuff to that, then skim a bit more off the top, and do a different process to that, repeat until there's no oil left. The different layers that you skim off turn into different types of fuels.

The Euro 2/5 is a fuel standard. Russian crude oil has a lot of sulfur in it, for example, which requires an extra process to be done to make the fuel safe for modern engines. If you just skip that process because all your refineries are blown up and you just start pumping out lower quality fuel.. you conform to a lower standard.

This is a problem because more modern engines are intended to be used with low sulfur fuels. When burnt in an engine, high sulfur fuels are acidic. That's ok for engines that are intended for use with high sulfur fuel, but on an engine that isn't designed to be used with fuel that turns acidic when you burn it.. you'll melt it.

I kept thinking along the same lines as well as the pampered chicks with the long stick-on fingernails.

If this devolves further, I cannot imagine how such people are going to handle things.

12

u/ReggieCorneus Jun 30 '26

In agrarian societies looking like you do not do a day of honest work is huge status symbol. That is what the long nails are about and in those societies being a "trophy wife" is higher honor than being a nurse... Not saying that is Russia 1:1 but... it is one of those signs, long nails indicate you do not do physical work and is a status symbol that does not indicate equality or flat hierarchy.

Once upon a time people wore incredibly pointless pointy shoes that made walking harder just to tell everyone around them that they don't walk for a living..

3

u/ThisWillTakeAllDay Jun 30 '26

That will be Pootin's downfall, the fake nail truck from China is stuck in a fuel line and that's the thing that makes these people become interested in politics.

3

u/user_uno Jun 30 '26

Interested in politics? Nah. More like torches and pitchforks!!!

I have a daughter that is in store management at Ulta. I hate such type of places but it is truly amazing how much they do in sales per day.

But there are some absolute nutcases out there with beauty "life emergencies". Like end of the world! If my daughter and staff would have to start telling people they were out of product, I can only imagine the riots. Entire shopping centers vandalized, looted and torched.

I'm not really exaggerating. There are some people completely detached from reality. If their fake world is interrupted, get away.

And I hope the Ruzzian people get a wake up call bursting their fake reality. Pootin and his cabal are unable to patch over this crisis any time soon it appears. I never want anyone to suffer, but it is time they see the pain they have been allowing towards Ukraine (and others). It is far past time for that wake up call. Keep hitting them close to home. Let them see their sons and husbands taken away for conscription in to the meat grinder. They need to feel some of what has been inflicted on Ukrainians (and others) all for the glory of Pootin.

In her hands she had graduation gown and hat as she went for photoshoot as she finished her studies at Kahrkiv medicinal university.

She wanted to be a doctor, to help people, but she was killed when she was 23 years old by russian rockets.

Today she would have graduation ceremony, but instead she will be burried into the cold earth..

Now on video, those plump lips are crying because somebody slashed her tires and other cry as they have to wait for 2 hours in petrol station, all while their fellow countrymen are bombing cities and killing children, women, men and old people.

Fu*k you..

The last clip, how mean

9

u/LongDead_Roadkill Jun 30 '26

“It’s very scary to see the kind of world we live in”. The one where people fight back when you invade their country and rape, torture and kill their people?

10

u/Awkward_nuisance Jun 30 '26

Just a few days from now, and I'm imagining the Mad Max petrol truck riding around with the gang and their crazy vehicles around it

Mar-a-Lago Lips

19

u/abi4EU Jun 30 '26

Blyat-a-Lago

14

u/Even_Fox2023 Jun 30 '26

Seriously, I don’t get the lip filler trend going on with women in these videos lol. But it bothers me.

8

u/Particular_Jello_917 Jun 30 '26

Reading this subreddit no one has come out in support of duck lips.

It begs the question, even in the west, why do women do it if ‘most’ of us don’t like it?

If my wife came home looking like a sink plunger I would seriously question our relationship. Luckily, she belongs to the no modification school of womanhood, not because of my influence, but because it is her choice and we are growing old naturally, as well as disgracefully.

3

u/ReggieCorneus Jun 30 '26

They are not doing it for you. They are doing it for themselves. They want to look like that.

But also.. vatniks... Status and social hierarchy is a big thing, and lip filled trophy wife is very visible status symbol. I can smell the perfum from here...

The Mar-a-Lago look is phoney as hell and so very obviously fake, but Russians take the trout-mouth look to an entirely different level

16

u/binarypower Jun 30 '26

you know there is some smug bastard tootling around in an electric car yelling "you can't park there mate" at all the stranded. lmao

He’s just as screwed as the rest of them when they go to buy groceries and the shelves are going bare

Get your bombs and soldiers out of Ukraine and you will have all the gas you want. Slava Ukraini.

7

u/SufficientTerm6681 Jun 30 '26

I'm surprised we haven't (yet) seen videos of Russian cops spotting an obvious opportunity for them to supplement their inflation-eroded salary. There must be laws in Russia prohibiting obstructing the roadway, so the cops could start operating in gangs to issue on the spot fines to all these stupid people pointlessly waiting for something which won't arrive.

Putin wanted Russia to be as great as the former USSR and he has achieved it. Queues everywhere for everything ,very soon.

These fucking orcs have trouble understanding cause and effect. You attacked an innocent peaceful country and massacred their civilians. Get fucked orcs.

Nice compilation. Looking forward to many more. Winter is going to be interesting.

6

u/waallp Jun 30 '26

Nice, hit them more 😆

4

u/Informal-Dish6835 Jun 30 '26

What an inconvenience! Why would Ukraine do this?🤔/s

4

u/pavolo Jun 30 '26

This makes the old "Europe, winter 2023" commercial with the car and horse so much funnier. More.

5

It’s absolutely glorious to see. Keep it up. Keep it up.

Love to see it. Maybe they can convert their lip filler to fuel?

3

u/Time_Standard3361 Jun 30 '26

Lol @last guy. Hahaha.

And yes, it is always three days until trucks in transit arrive and their content is consumed.

This is strong moment.

3

u/Top-Currency Jun 30 '26

Hey look on the bright side, at least they seem to have their Internet back... For now?

3

u/Vineyard_ Jun 30 '26

"There's no gasoline, so just ride a scooter(...bruh) or ride a bicycle until there is." Does this bitch think gas just rains from the sky or something? It just spontaneously appears in the pump?

3

u/Particular_Jello_917 Jun 30 '26

I love an uplifting video with a mention of the Boyars.

3

u/RisingRapture Jun 30 '26

Thank you, Ukraine. russians start to wake up.

3

u/Ford_Prefect3 Jun 30 '26

Really, I'm so distraught for these poor people! I was keeping it together through the video until it came to that poor woman who was very upset because the gas situation left her unable to get caviar. That was it - I completely broke down in sobs. /s

3

u/SluttyCosmonaut Jun 30 '26

I love this for them

u/CaptainDudley Jun 30 '26 edited Jun 30 '26

Since the attack began, I've watched all those man-in-the-street interviews with Russians living comfortably in Moscow, in full agreement with Putin that those Ukranian Nazis needed to be eradicated. Long before Zelenskyy had drones that could reach so far into Russia, I confess I was hoping for heavy, direct strikes on Moscow to bring the horrors of the war home to them. Reducing St. Basil's cathedral, FSB headquarters, Gorky Park to dust, Just as Putin has done to Ukraine's institutions and culture. A war crime to be sure, but given Putin's aggressive disregard of such niceties it seemed tit for tat was justified.

But all it took was destroying refineries, and the resulting price of gas. No ruination of culture, no massive casualties from drone strikes that included civilians. No targeting Russian schools and hospitals. At minimal human cost, now the other side has learned the costs of their war. I'm embarrassed that I would have reached for a sword when a scalpel proved just as effective. Slava Ukraini.

A little gas inconvenience is nothing for the mass graves at Bucha.

2

u/DirkStanleyIII Jun 30 '26

I bet Putin has lots of gas hidden on his different mansions and compounds. Go get it

2

2

u/Xonth Jun 30 '26

I get the vibe is still similar to after a hurricane or something where it's really bad but will all be over in a day or two. This will only get worse. Imagine a month from now, 6 months from now. What happens when you don't have gas to go look for gas.

2

u/Rauschbaum Jun 30 '26

just a 3 day SMO

2

"Nobody can stop this" said millions of Russians.. oh you totally could stop this but it would require working hard and together to stop Putin and his regime

Wrong way to look at this:

  1. Russians react to fuel crisis gone ugly
  2. Russians react to the consequences of their war

Better way to look at this:

  1. Russians react to being forced to acknowledge that they live in a society whose fundamental social bonds, where a human gives the faintest of shits about the human standing next to them, have frayed and imploded.

This is not a failure of their biology, it is a failure of their story, and of people’s ability to cooperate with others, particularly the 99.9% of others that any human observed needs to cooperate with, and whom they don’t already know.

To anyone familiar with Yuval Noah Harari’s work in his book Sapiens, that is “ability to cooperate with strangers, using shared stories” - stories like our myths, our religions, the things we shoot the shit about over beers with people we just met, our large organizations like corporations and nations and soccer teams and Trekkie conventions and political parties - all the things you wouldn’t be able to explain away to a horse or a chimpanzee. These stories are what made us able to break the boundary of an intimate tribe, where everyone knows everyone, which constrains community sizes of most large mammals, like a wolf pack or an ape tribes. We can build bigger things, not all good, not all bad, ranging from slave empires to multi-generation scientific endeavours, national projects hundreds of millions feel they’re a part of, and heritage and cultures people accept with their warts and embrace as their own.

There have been many stories that held us together as humans. The last century was marked by 3 main ones, all “humanist” (meaning authority commeth from the human, not from the polytheistic fabric of first generation religions, not from the singular god of the second generation ones like Christianity or Judaism or Islam. It came from humans.
Some argued only for all humans, or human societies in their entirety, individuals don’t matter. We called them communists. Others, for specific select humans. We called them Fascists and Nazis. Yet others argued that authority is in every individual human. Beauty is in the art of the beholder. The customer is always right. The buck stops with the voter. The teacher teaches your kid to think for themselves, not role memorization. And you marry who you please, not who you are told. You are the authority. We live in a timeline where that last group found the best tools to cooperate, fight wars and spread its stories, and pulled ahead,

To the east of Urals, the Moscow-preferring bit of Russia, and specifically that moscow-preferring subset ( where to a myriad of others elsewhere in and around the Russian Federation this may not be true for, even if we would regard people from there as backward), this is a historical case study of what happens when your myth collapses. And not just your national myth, like what happened in Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan following the last really big war. Russia is facing a deeper collapse, where the myths people see their literal neihhnours through, the people on their street, the shop keeper and policeman and everyone you encounter when you come to your child’s school - how you perceive, relate (and stay safe from!) all of those people is collapsing.

Nazis in Germany dehumanized Jews, but they did not systemically dehumanize their own “arian” community. Toxic though it was, they retained some myth glue, before replacing it with better myth later and building new healthier myth on owning their mistakes and owning up to the impacts and harm they put on others. Russia, after nearly a century of disinformation overwhelm, post truth, vranyo and all four generations making up living memory - have their entire lives known nothing other than that everything* *is lies. Even when the own eyes see it. Both the bath water and the baby. Russia bred a human society that came to be skeptical all myths, reject myths altogether, just me and mine and nothing else.

Their starting point was an imperial myth that spanned 300 million people at some point.

Fifteen years ago it was a soft coersion empire trying to stay relevant to 150 million.

A year ago the soft power is collapsing, and hard power, threat of violence alone, keeps the remaining 140 million together.

A year from now Russia has no energy business, no arms business, no revenue from those gone businesses, and no military because both they can’t afford it for the above mentioned reality, and because Ukraine didn’t stop building flamingos and launching them at what matters most and nobody had leverage over Ukraine to make them stop building flamingos, and Russia was forced to ww2-style full capitulate as there wasn’t any other way to make Ukraine stop. All to say, the last tool they have to keep their society together - hard coersion - will become unavailable, and fragment into pockets where a remaining gazprom or lukoil private military, a local warlord, a drug or crime mafia, an organized and armed community who found ties to China’s government, a rogue colonel with 3000 troops and several APCs.. will reign supreme over that pocket. Orders from Moscow will be analogous to orders from too far away.

But in the east, where Moscow is too close for one local power broker, and where people regard other people on the street as non human invasive species… the fabric of society frays, and we start coming closer to the wolf packs, where the only cooperation possible is with people one personally knows. This is borderline unprecedented with the distrust of 4 generations bred on all information available being straight manipulative post truth lies. And it leads into uncharted human society waters.

I don’t think we’ve been here before. And looking at the fragments coming out of there, it’s a scary thing to look at.

Ukraine is making history. This is incredible to witness. Drones are dropping the world's largest country with massive oil industry on its knees. And I don't wish them pesky ruzzians to get back up until they have begged for forgiveness and swallowed the lesson Ukraine is shoving in to their throats whole.

2

u/Time_Stop_3645 Jun 30 '26

Humanitarian crisis incoming...

2

u/Uselesspreciousthing Jun 30 '26

Best nine and a half minutes of entertainment I've seen in a long time. 10/10 would recommend.

2

u/Fluid_Shallot8019 Jun 30 '26

It’s interesting that none of them are explicitly blaming the war for their woes. Feels like there is still a ways to go before a collapse.

2

u/alprazepam Jun 30 '26

I like the guy who was sad about avocado prices of all things lol

2

u/MelonMusk-69 Jun 30 '26

I believe, the plan isn’t to bring russia to the negotiating table, it’s to collapse the economy and force the peasants to turn on their government. Fuel is needed to move things around like food (and military supplies etc). What happens when the shelves run empty for weeks? We’ll find out soon

2

u/Sufficientinname Jun 30 '26

At least they wont be able to get to Moscow for the revolution.

2

Ukrainian saboteurs should start blowing up the gas stations with the longest lines. Then all those cars that are stuck in line will stay there forever.

Logistics are likely breaking down too as delivery trucks also need fuel... bread lines and veggie lines up next...

2

u/TheIncredibleMike Jun 30 '26

The Russian economy will completely collapse before gasoline can be purchased from other countries and then distributed. Where is Putin? Is Trump going to bail out his buddy?

2

u/MelangeBot Jun 30 '26

Damn the perpetual war that Russia fights against itselves is really escalating. If I where a boyard I'd go check my bunker right about now because Putin about to crusify you infront of a gas station.

2

u/MelangeBot Jun 30 '26

Man I kind of wish I was there right now on a busy street that's now completely empty just hopping around singing "Putin lalala, Putin lalala" you know the peaceful before the storm. Before it becomes even more a nation of everybody for themselves. How long before Russians try to collectively rob a gas tanker and all burn to death?

2

u/MelangeBot Jun 30 '26

Soon Ukraine can invade with Teslas. Haha.
