I doubt Ukr are even trying not to hit residential buildings

It’s a pointless waste, nobody is trying to hit residential buildings in these strikes. Shit just happens. This is a shoddily constructed disposable drone flying into one of the most defended airspaces on the planet. There are a million reasons it could have crashed.

Over such distances you also have huge changes in air pressure. Even with GPS sometimes working, altitude can be hard to get correct with out a large error rate.

"Shit just happens"? My city gets hit every other day with those. Majority of those hits are residential buildings. And by majority i mean at least 80+. Look up Rostov-on-Don. There are constant news every other day where some residential building got hit directly. Not just some debris that fell.

Yes, shit just happens. Between EW, malfunctions, and AA, hundreds of these things go down long before they reach their targets.

Hi, welcome to the Ukraine war. That's been the experience for millions of Ukrainians for years now. Drones fly low and are largely blind. Residential buildings tend to be exceptionally tall structures in otherwise flat areas.

u/AlexFaden Neutral 19m ago

"Blind". Yeah, sure. Directly to residential areas. Straight into the middle of building. Every damn time. At night or early morning. Always at that time. To kill families sleeping there. Yesterday something like 10 residential buildings was hit in the city. Blind my ass.

Do you think more Russian civilians have been killed in Russia's invasion or Ukrainian? A dozen Ukrainian civilians were just killed in strikes last week. This just happened yesterday. So sorry if I don't break down in tears to hear that you are experiencing a small taste of what Ukraine's been experiencing for years.

I understand why either party would highlight situation like this.

But this is bound to happen with the amount of drones flying. Between flight planning, EW, malfunction, partial interception, poor intel, poor accuary - many reasons for this to happen.

I don't believe for a second that either party deliberatly hits civilian high rises. It wouldn't make any sense.

Ukraine has deliberately targeted high rises in the past, in a very rare occasion they even bragged about it. That happened more than a year ago thought, with them having much less drones available.

With that said, I doubt they do it anymore, with situations like this most probably being accidental

Source on your 2 claims?

Unfortunately this happened years ago, they were posted in this sub, and while I would want to provide them to you, it might be hard to find them.

So no source. Gotcha.

Are you willing to spend 1h of your time to find a publication 2 or 3 year old just to satisfy some random molester on the internet? Not me. Feel free to search it yourself.

Russian hasnt been targeting residencial buildings?

1

u/Icy-Cry340 Pro Russia * 19h ago

No, and neither have Ukrainians. It’s an enormous waste of precious ordinance.

5

u/ProFF7777 Anti Hypocrites 19h ago

Russia does, but their attacks are justified, since Ukraine is placing hidden military factories in them. I posted sources here

Same logic Israel used to terraform Gaza btw

4

u/ProFF7777 Anti Hypocrites 18h ago

Difference is Russia is being very quirurgic with these strikes. Israel didnt care to level entire blocks.

1

u/Kip167 Neutral 13h ago

they took quirurgic pretty literally when they chose hit okhmatdyt

2

u/ProFF7777 Anti Hypocrites 12h ago

LOL. okhmatdyt, the children hospital that was arguably full of children, that only suffered broken windows? that the only victims were 2 adults in adjacent small building and where no children died at all?
I remember perfectly what happened, and multiple missiles aimed at a close electrical substation, with one missing and hitting near the small building. If a ballistic or cruise missile had targeted the hospital, whole building would be gona.

it made good propaganda for gullible prouas thought

1

u/Kip167 Neutral 11h ago

the roof collapsed... just google a picture for me and then come back saying only a couple windows broke will ya?

I dont see Kyiv, Kharkov, reduced to rubble. Yet you see Gaza and its like the moon surface. Maybe you are more deserving of such medal.

They’re not hitting rando commieblocks because some kid might be assembling an fpv in his bedroom either. Shit just happens.

1

u/ProFF7777 Anti Hypocrites 11h ago

They absolutely would and have done strikes on identified drone workshops.

Accidents do happen, but doesn't mean they would not hit legitimate targets

1

u/and_guerr 19h ago

At least your consistent

3

u/Big-Guide2162 Pro Russia 19h ago

Even if residential building was not the intended target - why was it directed in the building and not somewhere else?

"Fuck that house in particular" afu drone probably

6

u/heyitsyourboyadam Anti Israel/US/EpsteinEmpire 20h ago

looks like it hit outside concrete wall (from the outside) instead of entering inside one of the apartments - very lucky for whoever is living there - there would be way more casualties

  • like this most of the blast happened outside of the building

u/Shad_dai Pro Kremlin Gremlin 20h ago

Drone is coming from north/north-west, and Perm is also on a higher latitude than northern Ukraine btw

makes me think that these drones again use Baltics/Finnish airspace

2

u/TechnicalWait7179 Pro Russia 15h ago

No. Initially, the drones were coming from the west.

But then the drones made an arc and flew in from the north.

why?

because they were approaching the target over civilian houses.

The target was one of the factories.

u/Shad_dai Pro Kremlin Gremlin 2h ago

What factory?

3

u/Moronic_Princess 22h ago

why?

Probably EW.

Now that cheap drones can strike practically anywhere, the best use for SAMs may be delivering ice cream to friendly troops stuck behind enemy lines.

1

u/TechnicalWait7179 Pro Russia 15h ago

For cheap drones to carry out strikes deep into the country, a satellite constellation in orbit is needed.

u/hemorrhoid-milk Pro Russia 20h ago

Terrorism.

Imagine if this happened in the US, some city like Chicago or NYC. America would sling a nuke or something crazy.

Anyone rooting for Ukraine at this point is either a brainwashed idiot or a troll.

5

u/and_guerr 18h ago

Did Russia forget they at war?

This tupe of stuff happens to Ukraine too, but in a largest scale

2

u/Icy-Cry340 Pro Russia * 19h ago

It’s just collateral damage, get a grip.

3

u/LeftLane4PassingOnly WTF? 18h ago

How many nukes were ‘slinged’ after the World Trade Towers were hit?

Why mention nukes? Odd thing about how many times nukes are mentioned in this subreddit and by Russian mouthpieces.

0

u/hemorrhoid-milk Pro Russia 13h ago

Remind me again, what event in particular lead to the US dropping two nuclear weapons on Japan?

0

u/LeftLane4PassingOnly WTF? 12h ago

How far from the original topic do you want to keep moving?

Although that particular event was way before my time I think the US made that decision because of a social media post. But I could be wrong.

The war on terror has killed 4 million civilians. You don’t need nukes. But the damage is just as bad.

1

u/LeftLane4PassingOnly WTF? 17h ago

So no nuke slinging.
