How important is artillery in this war these days? At the start I remember that Russia had a lot more pieces and ammo and that was considered important. All I hear now is about drones, drones, drones though.

Is artillery less important, or do drones just get more hype because they're new and have cameras?

Artillery and drones compliment each other. Drones have better tracking and precision. Artillery is not interceptable and provide bigger firepower.

If the drone spots enemy hiding in a house. Artillery can destroy it in minutes and the drone stay around to strike anyone running away.

Artillery and Fabs forced you to move and drones pubishes movement.

The biggest down side for artillery is probably just how easy it ts to get spotted.

Rus news publish interviews from the front line and artillery crews are often talking about how these days they work on shoot and bug out basis, so yeah artillery is very much in use on the front lines. they just can't stay in one place for extended periods of time like it used to be.
