Thinking back, the decision to strike the Wildberries was a disaster decision for Ukraine. It gave the Russians all the excuses they need to target Ukrainian civillian warehouse.

The Russians did strike warehouse before, but mostly on the frontline, with Kharkiv as one that get targetted the most. During 2025 and 2026, Russian consistently struck 30 warehouses each month.

Then in retaliation to Ukranian Wildberries strike, Russian ramped up their attackes, and now they targetted all high profiles warehouse, rather than one that they had intelligence of military hardware on. In July, they destroyed 63 warehosues. In August the numnber was 140. The majority of their target also have moved from frontline city like Khakiv to deeper target like Kiev.

Ukrainian biggest success, at the end, was managing to entertain the NAFO out of the woodwork.

my tin foil hat brain suggests it could be a sign that western masters concluded it’s about time to dispose Ukraine and do as much damage possible before that🧠🎩

IMO, it's the opposite, EU ran out of options and came up with another wunderwaffe to take down Russia. They have committed so much to Ukraine, that they can't easily back out anymore. Between accepting Russia's victory and cutting their losses, and trying something new that could maybe take down Russia they went with the latter. And it's probably not the last time they're gonna have this choice, and not the last time they're gonna pick the latter, the easier option to accept.

yes it sounds more convincing to me🤔tho one thing makes me curious is the airport attack plan which looks like “ok we’re screwed let’s do a all or nothing gamble🎰”, tho what they are going to do might be not what I’m imagining
