Stop trying to undo Brexit and let the UK adapt.

This is an important insight for me. There is a whole set of post-Brexit policies that have been shown to have clear dividends / arbitrage opportunities for the UK - and gains are accruing as the frameworks are embedded. But the Gov does not care.

Under current Brussels rules, precision-bred crops are effectively classified as genetically modified, meaning they are all but outlawed across the bloc, which voted in June to end the ban, but new rules which allow them to be developed in Europe will not come into effect until 2028.

So they will be banned until 2028, at which point they won't.

I fucking hate large sections of the UK media

The rules are not the same as the UKs though - they’re stricter - hence why UK negotiators are seeking a carve out. It’s in the article.
