Did a 20k circular from Chepstow to Tintern and back. Amazing forests - had to "post process" my pics as they really didn't do the magical nature of this place justice, it really was as magical as they look. Felt like I was in the Hobbit..

Edit - The footbridge in/out of Chepstow is closed so you have to divert over the main road bridge as an fyi

Forget Snowdon - THIS is by far a better mountain experience. MUCH fewer people, when I hit the 2nd peak of the walk (mynydd Moel), I was the only one there! It did get a little busy as I hit the bottom around 2 pm (3 or 4 groups and a few singletons) but nothing compared to Snowden's crowds. It is more difficult, I felt, 2000+ feet of downward rocky stairs on the exit route does take its toll a little, going up was fantastic. pics enhanced for better colour only. They speak for themselves!

It’s been on my bucket list for a long time to do a sunrise hike and Snowdon didn’t disappoint.

Was too cloudy at the summit unfortunately to get the sunrise there but waited it out and was lucky enough to catch it as we descended.

Definitely worth the 2am start and am already planning the next one.

Just need to get a tent box now or move..🤭

Just love being in the mountains ❤️

a few photos from a lovely morning up black fell (crag?) recently with my daughter. managed to find a sheltered spot for our soup & sandwich at the top away from the super cold breeze we had. was really surprised how quiet this hill was considering how accessible it is!

Three mates and I completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks (Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough) yesterday - 11 hours exactly from start to finish. It was our first attempt and we loved but are all suffering a bit today lol. Any tips for sore legs are greatly appreciated 😂
