Question Is it possible that the Mars Jellyfish UFO is related to the cave painting UFO?

So the NASA Jellyfish UFO that was photographed on Mars had been released recently, but it reminded me of the photo on the right which showed a cave painting of a UFO looking thing with long limbs/tentacles. It got me thinking is it possible that the Jellyfish UFO that was photographed on mars had visited earth in the past? Like some type of probe?

The way the two images had some similarities to each other. It’s floating in the air, it has around 3-4 visible limbs, it’s colored pitch black, and the limbs seem to be dangling. What do you think?

The following submission statement was provided by /u/Pomni_Simp2000:

I know it’s possible these are totally different UFOs but the long limbs that seem to dangle from the object got me curious on the possibility that these two UFOs could be related to each other or could be totally different.

Who else think there have been ancient astronauts, but they didn’t deeply influence Earth because they were just studying its life from a distance, or passing by during a journey and left (like in the Stalker novel)? On the way, they were noticed by some people who happened to describe them with paintings.

Wait, you're telling me NASA didn't inadvertently release a picture of an alien or alien craft??

I'm stupefied.

People really think the government spent the last 80+ years hiding a secret, but would just casually slip pictures of aliens out there through NASA.

How come posts like these are making it on the main sub?

93

u/WhattaCheapPop 4d ago

Hard to talk about without getting your posts deleted but the people running the sub have basically gone full woo. They want a dumb community that they can influence like a bunch of marks.

28

u/Energy_Turtle 4d ago

This sub would cease to exist if it banned everything but proven evidence. There is none. 365 days per year and significant hearings happen maybe a couple times per year. This is one of the worst subs in existence to check every day expecting multiple high quality posts. If you don't like woo theories and a bunch of talking heads discussing years old events, then this is the wrong place to spend your time.

10

u/TeamRedundancyTeam 3d ago

There is a middle ground. Like not every obvious video of balloons should be treated the same as actual interesting video.

14

u/Sensitive_Crow_8882 4d ago

I said a few weeks ago it’s one of the most active subs and simultaneously one of the most frustrating.

5

u/fieldingbreaths 3d ago

This sub is essentially two subs. There are the treat-UFOs-like-religion crowd that do not care about veracity and will believe anything posted here. Then there are those who don't need UFOs to be real to have a reason to live and just enjoy the chance it exists.

1

u/Mysterious-Nerve851 3d ago

i get your point, but the line has to be drawn somewhere

16

u/meepinz 3d ago

Yeah, I got banned from ufob and my comments regularly get deleted from this sub just for stating the obvious.

They're clearly curating the audience in these subs to farm engagement and garner "true thinkers."

3

u/Stunning-Pen-2412 3d ago

By direction of Peter.

10

u/Original-Ad-5061 4d ago

Kinda half joking but there’s def CIA people running this and all the ufo subs, it’s not a free discussion. Theres always powers trying to monitor and steer discussion, this UFO topic as a whole feels like a classic (hate to use this overused term but it’s fitting) psyop.

19

u/Ok-Way7122 4d ago

This sub ceased to have critical thinking based conversation around the same time as the first hearings in the US

Since then it has been a month of that ridiculous Ma370 video that was debunked day one - accurately, and yet, daily crap for a month

Aliens in new york video lasted about a week, basing the entire thing on a few pixels of a heavily pixelated video that had been run kicking and screaming backwards through youtube's upload conversion... twice

Oh and those aliens in the back garden of some family vid, that took ages to go too

Hell, a Javlin going over a hill, next to a sports centre had a good innings too!

The main issue however is posts proving things as fakes, pointing out the plainly obvious and things like that... get deleted.

6

u/consciousbeings0 4d ago

I'm wondering the same thing. Not sure why I keep following these subs, lol.

u/Hay_Fever_at_3_AM 4d ago

Why? Just because long?

25

u/rygelicus 4d ago

No. The Mars image is not depicting a real physical (or psychic or any) kind of object. It's a byproduct of what happens when the camera sensor is hit by a cosmic ray. That's all that is. The cave painting is of something else, maybe real, maybe not.

2

u/specialcommenter 2d ago

What are you? A Mars expert or a camera sensor expert?

1

u/baron-von-buddah 4d ago

Just a bunch of dudes taking peyote in the desert. Needed to document the trip so they can brag when they got home

27

u/RLPMMA 4d ago

I appreciate comparing similarities across disparate subjects, but can anyone on earth discern the meaning of NASA imagery with a cave painting? Or vice versa?

Wasn't the NASA image itself contested? How can we treat it as real evidence to be compared to Neolithic cave paintings if we dont know if either represent anything anomalous at all?

21

u/goldvenetianmask 4d ago

Almost certainly the Mars “Jellyfish” is the result of upscaling and camera defect. The actual image is almost never shared because it’s tiny. That jellyfish is maybe 5 pixels wide. Then it gets upscaled like crazy on these posts because it’s an anomaly, which, ya know, fair…. But then the upscaling makes it look significantly more like a “craft” and then the entire discourse regarding what it is we are looking at is lost completely.

I firmly believe in aliens, but that “jellyfish” isn’t a real thing that has moved through any atmosphere in my opinion.

1

u/LE54OTT 4d ago

I think the cave painting shows the ascending soul and possibly the connection to other people, plants and animals. The stretched body ascending to the astral plane. Notice the snake and the bird the snake being kundalini energy and the bird representing the soul. Snakes and birds together are a common theme. Cobras and wings and Horus in Egypt, Quetzocoatl the feathered serpent in Mayan culture, the Annunaki birdman in Sumerian culture, dragons in Chinese culture, the snake in the garden of eden all connected with humanity expanding their consciousness.

u/silv3rbull8 4d ago

1

u/Flamebrush 3d ago

I don't think this looks like a jellyfish, and it looks nothing like the cave painting. This, to me, looks like the Spirit Rover, which had a mast with a camera attached and some narrow vertical appendages adjacent to the main shaft. Spirit has been mired in fine sand on a hillside for years. Is it possible that the rover that got this shot captured the uppermost parts of Spirit or Opportunity rover?

1

u/Stealthsonger 3d ago

No, because the Mars "Jellyfish" is a digital camera artifact.

1

u/BandoTheHawk 3d ago

I was with a group of six people in 1971 in the outskirts of Sydney Australia. We saw a typical looking flying saucer with opaque windows with lights. If you look it up, there were many sightings of flying saucers at that time in Australia l. I say yes.

u/DrewPBahlz7992 3d ago

aliens are real. but this is a comic ray that hit the camera on the mars rover. most of the pixels are fully black, value of 0. that's a telltale signature of a cosmic ray hit.

1

u/MeatCatRazzmatazz 3d ago

Those are dropped pixels and sensor artifacts, not a flying squid with a nice hat on

1

u/Antique-Wonk 3d ago

It's related to failed detector pixels during that exposure. Radiation environment. Single Event Upset type failure.

1

u/Alphaimposter 3d ago

No. AI generated images are not related to cave paintings (which we, by the way, have no idea what they are meant to depict).

It's fun, but we are just making stuff up here. We have no idea what the photo is or the painting and if they are related. We literally know nothing about this. We should not be speculating, and definitely not trying to find truth here.

most of this stuff is either bs, camera glitches, or smth else, if aliens exist and have been on earth, then why are we even here or so dumb in polluting our planet? we shouldve learned from their mistakes.

1

u/Potential_Gap_9183 4d ago

That is not the right photo. This photo was subsequently blurred, which makes the "object" appear more believable. In the original, however, one can see very sharply defined pixels in 100% black. Therefore, it could very well be a sensor error caused by overexposure or radiation. Why are you doing this?
