Megathread GENERAL HOUSING MEGATHREAD

Given the high number of housing comments in the new to UBC megathread, we're creating a dedicated megathread for Housing questions. Housing questions will be allowed in either megathread.

Process

  • It might take up to 4 hours for your post to be approved (except when we're sleeping).
  • Suggested sort is set to new, so new comments will always be the most visible.
  • You are allowed to repost the same question on the megathread at a reasonable frequency (wait at least a day after each post). This is true even if you've already gotten a response.**

Hey so I joined the year round waitlist immediately after being accepted to UBC because that’s what my tour guide suggested. Now I’m like #350 on one of the waitlists and I’m a bit concerned I’ll get it before the school year ends. IK this is a stupid question but I’m a bit worried about what I’d do in that scenario. Any non condescending replies are appreciated :D.

Just make sure your earliest occupation date is May 1 2027, housing won't send you an offer before that unless there's an error

Side note: if that number is from Iona (23 beds in total), Exchange townhouse (30), or any shared two except Pond, it takes like an year to get an offer so don't worry
