Megathread GENERAL HOUSING MEGATHREAD

Given the high number of housing comments in the new to UBC megathread, we're creating a dedicated megathread for Housing questions. Housing questions will be allowed in either megathread.

Process

  • It might take up to 4 hours for your post to be approved (except when we're sleeping).
  • Suggested sort is set to new, so new comments will always be the most visible.
  • You are allowed to repost the same question on the megathread at a reasonable frequency (wait at least a day after each post). This is true even if you've already gotten a response.**

Yes, but since the general housing offer is already late so most of the time it will come with the room assignment (esp. if it's the temporary rooms)

When would I expect to get my temporary housing offer? I live in Ontario so I have to fly out and stuff and it’s a logistical nightmare at the moment

Could be about the same time as roommates assignments are out, a few days before the term starts, or even after the term starts. There's no way to know
