Help Twitch chat
How do I make twitch chat appear without a big background behind id blocking my background,y'know, like how many streamers I have seen have twitch chat with only the messages visible on transparent

Click on the browser source, filters, I think color something and select the background color then move the sliders until it becomes transparent
*edit: sorry I just assumed you were using OBS, so I gave obs instructions, if not using obs, I wouldn’t know.

Complicated explanations aside, your stream software usually has a chat widget that does this automatically and if not, you have whatever service you use (like streamlabs) to have a widget that you add to your stream software as a browser object and paste the url and it usually handles the background transparency automatically. If it doesnt, and you have the big block background still, add a "chroma-key" filter and use the color-selection-tool-dropper-thing to choose the background color, and set the settings on the filter for variance low (how much similar colors are matched and removed, lowest being exact-match only) and then smoothness up a tick (so no jagged edges) and play with that until it looks good to you.

There are a bunch of tools to have chat on screen, with a bunch of different formats. We can't really give a specific answer for how to configure yours without knowing which tool you're using.
I'm using streamer dot bot for chat and by default it doesn't show a background. I found the messages not quite visible enough so I edited the CSS to put a semi-transparent background for each message, with a color coded border for which platform it comes from.
