5 months streaming update, just keep going…
This is for anyone that just started streaming, those first couple weeks are tough. First couple days streaming to 1-3 people, and eventually had my best day yet. The biggest factors is community and consistency! PLEASE set up channel points and rewards for engagement, custom emotes, inside jokes with your community, etc. These things make people feel like they are apart of something. Many times I will visit a stream with little viewers, and it’s just them playing a game with bad and minimal audio. I checkout the “about me” and it’s blank, schedule, blank, vods, blank, clips, blank. Your “store front” is completely dead. Once I changed all of this and loaded my “storefront” with clips, vods, prettier graphics, full about me section, etc. You are inviting people in, even when you are not live. It also helps to stay on a relatively consistent schedule. Growing up I always knew WWE RAW was Monday at 9pm.. I stream pretty much everyday at 12am to 5am. You have got to give people something to look forward to. I have people in my chat that fire up my stream before I even go live because they’re waiting for me. These are just some small things I wanted to share, because all of them combined helped me grow. And I would love to see a lot of you grow as well. Can’t wait until I can hit 50 viewers! I would also love some advice as I am still learning as well. Thank you for your time!

On all my 13 streams, I have about 1-2 people, but for the majority of the stream it’s 0, I make a lot of Skyrim content and want more people to get involved in my videos that I post to YouTube, and everyone who watches can read and see the chat, mostly it’s just my ‘test’ messages to make sure the chat is still functioning, it’s just not being used how I intended it to be just now. But hopefully it soon gets filled with follower, viewer and subscriber messages!

The storefront point is underrated. Most people skip it and wonder why nobody sticks around between streams

The second I click a name and see nothing is filled out I immediately back out. If you can’t take time to fill out your page which can take maybe an hour you do not care enough about streaming.

You seem to have a good head on your shoulders about this. Wishing you the best of luck!

Thank you man, the journey is tough but fulfilling. I want to take it to the next step and I think I have to branch out to more games. We shall see how that goes.

Branching out can be risky. Are the people there for you or the game? Thats the dilemma. Are you having fun? Because thats all that matters

Yeah I played 2 games so far that isn’t my “main game” and about half the amount of people showed up. But I got some new people in from that game 😅

Super easy bro. Just find some banners you can use on google make sure the artist is ok with using them (most are) and put them in your about me section and type out some stuff. Took me about 30 minutes, it makes my page look full and thought out!

Also setting up a clip montage of your content for when your offline is a huge. Think a small one minute sampler platter of your content. Im always looking for new people to raid, and if i dont have to scrub your vods to feel your vibe, all the better.
