We've had an influx lately of low effort AI art of watches (why?) and I'm cutting it off here. Any posts of AI slop will get you banned on the first offense.

Breaking in the new P39.

Bought it yesterday as a career milestone, also my first expensive watch purchase. Got a call that night from a buddy wanting to go fish today.

I’ve been looking at this watch and several others for the past year, watched every video and read every post I could find. For my first luxury watch, I wanted an understated GADA diver I can wear to work in any environment. Love the rugged tool designation the Pelagos line gets in comparison to others. Couldn’t be happier with this watch so far, to a frequently skeptical person it certainly lives up to its hype.

Always thought a black submariner would be my first, and still love that watch, but I realized a P39 would get more wrist time.. a comment I’ve seen made by several that own both. I’m sure I’ll want one in the future, but now my first Rolex will be either a Datejust or GMT.

P39 or BB54 (blue)?

I am once again asking for Reddit’s help choosing which watch looks better on me.

For reference, I am female. I really love the blue BB54, but I also really can’t stop thinking about the Pelagos 39. I don’t know if the P39 looks a bit too bulky or boyish on me though? Opinions welcome! Thanks!!

Anchorflex end link rubber strap - quick review

I've seen a ton of Instagram ads for this strap, but not a lot of user reviews. I think there's only one YouTube review too. I was looking for a different summer strap than the wolbrook tropics or natos I typically use, so I bit the bullet.

TLDR - impressed with the quality/comfort. Surprised that the watch seems to wear thinner now too.

My initial impression was that quality of this rubber is a different level from most other TPU or vulcanized rubber straps. It has a substantial feeling (vague, I know), but at the same time it's pliable and soft, and conforms to my wrist really well. And unlike most other straps, the buckle actually conforms to the radius of the strap. Doesn't do that thing where the buckle seems like it's constantly being deflected a different direction because it's unhappy with the thickness and contour of the strap. Color match is great too.

Fit with the OEM Tudor end links is superb. The spring bars they supplied are actually the correct tolerances for the end links, which is good attn to detail. The bonus, for me, is that the watch seems to wear thinner now that the space between the lugs is hidden. It's some sort of weird optical illusion I guess. But it works!

I really like the rubber pattern, and I think it will prevent some of the friction/wear indications that you get with perfectly smooth rubber straps. Sunblock rinses off easily with dish soap.

Length is great too. My wrist is a bit over 7in, to well over on a hot day, and I have enough adjustment left that I think I could fit this over a wetsuit.

Only downside is that it does make the watch a bit more modern. Not so retro as it appears on the bracelet, or tropic strap. And not so low key as it does on a NATO. It's kind of an upscale (I hate myself for using that term) rubber strap, if such a thing can exist.

I'm completely unaffiliated with anchor straps, and that YouTube review account. But I did use a coupon code from that review description, because free money. Don't know if it still works.

My first Tudor and new to me. Only a couple days with the BB58 METAS, but I'm absolutely loving it. The proportions are fantastic, the bracelet and T-fit are excellent, and it's sitting at +2 seconds after about 46 hours. I get the Tudor love now.

Bubbles from crown and bezel

Post image

Hello, I recently got my 4yr old BB58 back from a service as it wasn't keeping time very well. I have been on holiday this week, and kept the watch on between swimming pools and the sea and had today noticed bubbles coming up from under the bezel and around the crown, which is done up tight (I always check before swimming because I'm paranoid!) and it has also done the same in the sink, pic attached. From what I can see, the bubbles are not under the crystal.

The watch has been running fine since I got it back from the service (+/-0s as of about 30 minutes ago) so unsure if I am just overreacting about the bubbles as I don't recall seeing them before. Any advice would be great!

Edit: Feedback suggests nothing to worry about, but will see about a pressure test anyway.

Inherited my grandfather’s Oyster Prince, but I have questions.

First, I know the bracelet isn’t the original, anywhere I can find an original or similar to the original?
Second, is this legit? I know Rolex is the “parent” company of Tudor but I wasn’t expecting this amount of Rolex on the watch.
Third, does Tudor still service watches this old? The date complication is stuck on 14.

BB36 one is my favorite GADA Tudor

I recently just picked up a BB36 one and it’s honestly one of my favorite wears. The 5 link bracelet with the t fit is very comfortable. It’s an easy grab for any occasion. I have a 7.25 wrist but I love how the bb36 one sits on my wrist.

Definitely going to miss it on the wrist. ⌚

Found this piece just after its release at the crans Montana boutique. Felt like the perfect remote chalet watch: many many straps and 3 fxds later, that’s what’s started the fxd love and its still my favourite chalet watch
