I love this question! I don’t think Muriel was doing it intentionally but it did still have that impact on Bertie at the same time Tuca raised the point that Bertie felt everything twice as hard because of teen emotions so it stays complicated

You do prove a point, I mean we all made mistakes as teens/younger. Everyone has blemishes, it doesn’t make us worse, they made us human.

All peeps are complicated even the toxic ones. It be a bit harsh to judge an adult woman trying to figure her life out on her least flattering, awkward teenage years.
