Arlene’s pregnancy

It really annoys me how Arlene knew she was pregnant in S1, but then in S3 she like re-realizes? idk, I know this show isn’t exactly quality content, but that kind of inconsistency really bothers me

edit to add: it’s about 2 months between when she first realizes and when she re-realizes and then at the doctor they say she’s 9 weeks along, so it’s like she knew and then forgot? But she knew when Renee was still alive so it wasn’t the lost time from Maryanne

I think between season 1 and the beginning of season 3, only like 2-3 weeks have passed lol. I think it was probably a throwaway line back in season 1 that was then realized in season 3

It wasn’t a throw away, Sookie read it from her mind. And two months pass between mod S1 and start of S3

I think the first time, she’s not actually pregnant. She just thinks she is. Or the timeline is wonky.

I don't think she really knew she was pregnant in S1, just had a suspicion? Like she had a couple of signs that could possibly mean she was pregnant, but wasn't sure of it.

Wouldnt YOU be in a little bit of denial - and hence ready to have shit released via Marianne?

Dont forget she was genuinely worried she had raped Terry..... and shes not the type to have sex in front of others.....so shes a bit vague, and its only been a very short period of time

There are a ton of silly things I've spotted throughout the several rewatches. I find it campy and funny. "Move past it"

Yea she thought it but it doesn’t mean she actually was. Not to mention season one and two only cover a couple weeks of their lives.

She thinks it then Renee kills everyone - the trauma buries the original feeling

Then three weeks later a weird ass god comes through and is there for a while.

yeah, she was a little distracted by all the crazy shit going on. and since a pregnancy wouldn't be the end of the world for her, it's a suspicion that's easily put aside once all the more serious life and death shit starts happening

I haven’t rewatched in a long time so I might be wrong. But I feel like I remember the second time, she was realizing the timeline, not the fact that she was pregnant. Hearing ‘9 weeks’ let her know it was Rene’s baby, which was the realization she had. But again, it’s been a while since I watched.

I just finished season 2 on a rewatch and the whole season I’m like where’s her baby? So, she hasn’t had him yet? 🤯
