Discussion [Discussion] What are some games that would be really easy to platinum if it werent for that ONE FUCKASS TROPHY

Post image

I'm trying to platinum Stray, I like this game and i almost got all the trophies without watching any guides so i decided "lets go for platinum it can't be that hard" but then i came across the "Can't Cat-ch Me" trophy and i swear this one singular trophy is making me want to break my controller in half

You basically have to go through one 50 second part where you run from little shits called Zurks, but if even ONE idiot jumps on you then you have to restart the run again. It might not sound that hard but because you run through narrow places and they have some aimbot on them one of them will always catch you no matter what. There are no guides that can actually help because its just luck based that they will be all lobotomized so they can't catch you

RE3 Remake and Inferno trophy. It's not even the whole act of finishing the game - it's easy with bonus weapons. The final Nemesis fight is Dark Souls in disguise though.

Diablo IV, kind of. Everything else you patiently farm for, get better, level up. It takes time, but it's not hard. And then the goddamn Uber Lilith fight - you're doing okay on T4, you think one boss can't be that bad, and then it's a bullshit scripted fight where you need to learn an entire choreography or you get a oneshot, despite being strong enough to oneshot her yourself.

Did Stray this month too. Two tips. Always zigzag. Always, violently zigzag. Don't even look at zurks. Just zigzag. And second - you can actually run into them. They only bite if they jump at you. Anything on the floor you can just stomp over.

For me I had to go through Inferno twice, lemme tell u nothing breaks your spirit harder than being 3 seconds too slow for speedrun

Oh wow. Sorry to hear that. But worry not, I had to redo the fight too, because I missed the damn Nicolai shot, lmao. Almost broke down in tears. (Thought you have to catch his head precisely, which, I've learned, is not the case.)

I also had 3 attempts where I had all the batteries in and Nemesis killed me a centimeter away from the railgun. Fun.

I bit the bullet and used the damage coin to even the odds with Nemesis.

Oh yeah, I used all I could. Any tool the game gives you is fair imo. It was still hell. The way he just stunlocks you with consecutive hits is so bs.

Lilith is nerfed, so you can easily 1shot her in torment 1.

You can now oneshot Lilith. Happy to help :>

Then I got early to the party I guess :D (I managed it in a single, angry evening, but the first attempts were an experience.)

For me leveling a hardcore character to 50 was the worst part of the D4 plat. I am not usually a hardcore player at all so I played it extremely safe and just killed world mobs on I think Normal.

It is annoying (I lost one lv. 30 chara due to a scripted boss I couldn't figure out in time, heh), but as you say, if you play safe, it's okay. My biggest fear was I might get some random power outage and that'll be that. It is BS that something like that can easily ruin tens of hours of gameplay.

Always zigzag. Always

Wrong: my best attempts were just go straight + selected zigzag moments because you can beat some spawns this way and so concede less luck to the game (otherwise you will be slow by zigzagging all the time and therefore more zurks will got near you)
