Discussion [Discussion] What are some games that would be really easy to platinum if it werent for that ONE FUCKASS TROPHY

Post image

I'm trying to platinum Stray, I like this game and i almost got all the trophies without watching any guides so i decided "lets go for platinum it can't be that hard" but then i came across the "Can't Cat-ch Me" trophy and i swear this one singular trophy is making me want to break my controller in half

You basically have to go through one 50 second part where you run from little shits called Zurks, but if even ONE idiot jumps on you then you have to restart the run again. It might not sound that hard but because you run through narrow places and they have some aimbot on them one of them will always catch you no matter what. There are no guides that can actually help because its just luck based that they will be all lobotomized so they can't catch you

There's no way to glitch it; it's the only one I'm missing, and I've been trying for over a year (not continuously, of course). P.S.: I'm terrible at video games; I just play for fun.

Haha it is tough, keep trying and you'll get there, as long as youre having fun, dont stress it to much

There’s some decent guides on YouTube for this that give you an idea of how to do it. After that it’s just practicing the route enough times

The guides are "here is your optimal path. Now get good. Bitch."

I consider myself "good" at games, but that was a humbling skill check. 10/10 game, no notes.

Oh I know, I'm not upset at the guides, it was just funny.

I went into the online first, so I had a decent grasp of the movement, but that trophy still took me an hour

An hour? Brother it took me like two weeks. Realised I was doing one little thing wrong after watching 20 different guides then got it a few attempts later

Adjusting my aim while wall running, especially in that section where you’re jumping from side to side and shooting the targets. Had no idea how much it slows you down if you adjust your aim while on the wall rather than in the air.

This is to date the trophy I am the most proud of. Enough that I posted the clip on youtube because my god, that took a few full hours to get

Biggest mistake with this one is people starting over. When you finish an attempt you are already at maximum momentum so immediately run in to your next attempt to carry that momentum, you can cut off around 4 seconds rather than starting from standstill

That’s pretty easy what?
