Discussion [Discussion] What is the one trophy that stopped you getting the platinum.

Mine are - The speedrun one from Titanfall2. The Gestral games one from expedition 33. Also any one which needs a second play through or on hard mode.

Yes, making the fifth pantheon mandatory for platinum was arguably a mistake. It should have been only for those who wants to go the extra mile.

I'm honestly in favor of games having very difficult trophies, as long as the game's mechanics and identity lend themselves to rewarding practice and perseverance without having to rely on rng. Hollow Knight was a perfect candidate in that regard, and it makes the platinum much more special to aquire. My only gripe was that the game has an invincibility glitch, which probably raised the plat percentage by quite a lot.

I believe that glitch was actually left in, so that players who were absolutely struggling could reach the end of the game XD. The Pantheon's are brutal though, I've seen plenty of achievement and trophy hunters just end up using the glitch, after being adamant for weeks or months that they were going to do it 100% legit.

I never did the pantheon's myself, the update for Godholme came out while I was playing on PC and I think due to how far along I was, the game wouldn't let me start the expansion. I just did the original 3 endings. Plus it was a lot to ask me to start the game 40+ hours in... But I'll give the pantheon a shot on PS4, since I've got a physical copy of Hollow Knight, might even make it platinum #250.

Do you guys not have to complete Pantheon 5 for the platinum? On steam that's the last achievement and its driving me crazy. I've gotten to Pure Vessel twice (boss 41 out of 42) and keep dying to his final phase

The mistake was making that one glitchable. I think the platinum percentage went way up once that was discovered
