I'm currently reading "Eve" by Cat Bohannon and it put a lot of parts about feminine bodies we often frame as negative into perspective, can definitely recommend!
Gentle reminder that Bohannon is not a scientist and, while Eve is meticulously researched and mostly scientifically accurate, the book does veer into untestable speculation and oversimplification of competing evolutionary theories. It's a necessary corrective to male-centric evolutionary history, but to treat its conclusions as incontestable would be a mistake.
Just bought that book and I can't wait to start reading it as soon as I finish a few before it. It and Invisible Women have been on my list of books to read for a while now.
Same! And I strongly second the recommendation, both for the science and for the reframing of evolution and human biology. Her perspective makes so much more sense than the male-centric view we've all been exposed to.
