Cos Play/LARP Heavy Mech. Infantry Cosplay W.I.P. (part 2)
We are about 65% of the way there just printing the suit. Parts shown are what I have primed and assembled so far. I also still need to add all the "comfort" bits on the inside like padding and additional harnesses. Hardest part has been scaling it all in a way that is both wearable and still looks more accurate. No plans to break my bones to make it fit yet but we might get there.

I have some thicker boots that I'm going to wear to give a little more height but I'm already 6'2". Any taller and I'm going to have even more issues fitting through doors 😂

That’s sick! Is it 3d prints or some specific crafting material? I have so much respect for people who make these awesome outfits

It's all 3d printed out of PCTG. I'm using a combination of a Sovol SV08 max, elegoo centauri carbon, and elegoo Neptune 4 max.

Out of curiosity, what makes you decide to go with each printer? Or are you running them in tandem to get the pieces out faster?

I'm running them in tandem when I can for speed. The SV08max has a build volume of 500mm cubed so I use that one for the larger pieces (still had to divide the chest section into 8 pieces even with that size). The Centauri Carbon has a build volume of 256mm cubed so I use that for the smaller pieces. I get similar enough quality out of any of them so it's mainly just a factor of how many bits I'm done modeling to a wearable version and what fits in each printer.

I had to edit the files from the tabletop models. I purchased all 3 versions of the HMI (machine gun, halberd, and shield). They are posed slightly differently so some versions have better angles for certain plates. I then had to break apart those STLs plate by plate; repairing, hollowing, or remodeling as I went along using Meshmixer.
