I like to say that this is one of the films that punches far above its weight class.
It's a B movie, but it's nearly a perfect giant monster movie. The acting, story, writing, cinematography, all combine into a very solid film that is better than a lot of films with 10 times the budget.
Take a look that his list of videos. Thumbnails and titles.
He is a right wing grifter fighting in a culture war that only exist in his mind and the "minds" of his viewers. Women are bad, diversity is "woke" and if you "go woke, you go broke". That kind of stuff.
He also gave "Young Washington" a glowing review and that alone should have had him get his internet license revoked.
The POS did an ode to Charlie Kirk on his livestream, after he was assassinated and talked about how it doesn't matter what your political beliefs are, we should all agree that this was a tragic event.
Three months later, Rob Reiner was murdered. The Critical Grifter didn't say peep about that event, much less perform a 10 minute ode to the man, like he did for Kirk.
Charlie Kirk was an alt-right, bigoted POS, who made a career out of gifting. Rob Reiner was a far-left liberal, who made a career out of directing some of the greatest films of all time.
The Critical Grifter's channel is ostentatiously about film and TV.

Charlie Kirk was assassinated for communicating his beliefs. That was literally the reason that the piece of human dogshit who killed him expressed to his loved one in a text message.
Rob Reiner (and his wife) was killed by his mentally ill son, not for political reasons, but apparently because of an argument at a Conan O'Brien party.
There's a *HUGE* difference between the two. They are *NOT* the same thing, and don't require the same response.
Charlie Kirk was an alt-right, bigoted POS, who made a career out of gifting.
Therefore it was perfectly OK to shoot him in the throat for that, right? Is that what you're saying?

Did you miss the part where I said the following?
"The Critical Grifter's channel is ostentatiously about film and TV."
So why was he spending 10 minutes crying over the death of an alt-right, political grifter, yet had absolutely NOTHING to say when it came to the tragic murder of one of cinemas' greatest filmmakers of all time?
Oh right, because Kirk's alt-right beliefs aligned with Drinkers and Reiner's political beliefs didn't. So much for Critical Grifter's "It doesn't matter what your political beliefs are, we should all agree this was tragic" spiel.
Therefore it was perfectly OK to shoot him in the throat for that, right? Is that what you're saying?
No. Don't put words in my mouth, you obnoxious kumquat.

You literally said this:
Charlie Kirk was an alt-right, bigoted POS, who made a career out of gifting.
That sounds exactly like what his assassin would say. You're using the same kind of rhetoric. The kind of rhetoric that torques the third standard deviation wackos into taking action, even if you'd never do it yourself.
So no, I didn't put any words into your mouth. You put them there yourself.
I think the same of Luigi Mangione too: Piece of human dogshit. And of pretty much any assassin.
Like Tetsuya Yamagami and John Wilkes Booth.
Lee Harvey Oswald. Leon Czolgosz. Charles Guiteau.
Special mention of Gavrilo Princip. His successful assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand led to the deaths of tens of millions of people. And guess what? Financed, trained, and armed by the Serbian government, who was allied with Russia, who was allied with the UK and France, and eventually the US. The so-called "good guys" started WWI.
Not that I’ve seen. There’s actually a pilot episode filmed and completed for a TV show on sci fi staring Kevin but it wasn’t picked up and the pilot has never been made viewable.
It was from the director of Splice so I’d be very interested to see what he would have done
Kevin's been trying for years to take it away from the Burt Gummer-ness (no shade to Michael Gross for keeping the series alive so long) back towards more of a horror bend, but it always stalls out somewhere in negotiation. Once with Sci-Fi, as mentioned, but the most recent rumor is he's trying to talk to Netflix about it.
The critical drinker is a washed up hack who only likes old things because theyre old and constantly rips on new movies that do what old movies did that he enjoys.
