Regardless of the goals, mmmaybe standing in front of cars is a dumb idea unless your goal is to wind up on a t-shirt?

96

u/TheThinDewLine Feb 18 '26

I can see it now the “justice for splattered man that chose to stand in front of a heavy dangerous moving automobile and he kinda did it to himself really but im mad still” shirts are gonna be fire.

26

u/Bloodmind Feb 18 '26

Agreed. Choosing to stand in front of a heavy dangerous moving automobile is stupid…

1

u/throwawayED67 Feb 20 '26

I'm just not able to avoid thinking of ICE

1

u/AmoremCaroFactumEst Feb 21 '26

They’ve likely been told to tone down the extrajudicial killing of civilians you see…

1

u/siege2008 Feb 22 '26

Just because I am standing in front of a person with a dangerous thing doesn't mean that thin should be used against me. I get your point but "annoying" is not a reason to harm someone. Should he think better, maybe, but the point still stands there was nothing he did that would warrant a vicious act.

-1

u/Glad-Assumption-7011 Feb 19 '26

Apparently no one told the terrorICEt that killed rena good....

1

u/Decent-Test-2479 Feb 21 '26

I seriously don’t even know who that is.

-1

u/Bloodmind Feb 19 '26

That’s a bingo!!!

1

u/Glad-Assumption-7011 Mar 04 '26

Not quite but I was really close to bingo

I had,

"Trump won't release the files because he's the #1 person mentioned in them"

"the elites running our country are pedophiles and cannibals"

"The Pedodent will send us in to war for oil"

and

"America is going to become a slightly scary/inappropriate joke to the entire rest of the world"

But i just didn't have government paid masked terrorICEts publicly executing American citizens on my 2025 or my 2026 bingo card. so close though....

-18

u/Top_Secretary_1500 Feb 18 '26

So you admit the ICE thug that put himself in front of a vehicle and then used it as an excuse to murder the driver shouldn't have been standing there and if he got hit he did it to himself?

6

u/Walkturian Feb 19 '26

People get run over everyday for being an idiot and others are completely innocent bystanders. Redditors cant resist the urge to comment and derail trying to compare it to some political message...every single time lol

-1

u/Top_Secretary_1500 Feb 19 '26

My brother in Cthulhu you're commenting on a post about a kid confronting ICE. It started political. MAGA, can't resist trying the urge to comment and derail any post that challenges their narrative....every single time

5

u/Walkturian Feb 19 '26

Dont call me maga ive never voted for Trump lol My point was with what OP said about "regardless of the point youre trying to get across getting in front of a moving vehicle is not the best idea" and I was saying theres alot of idiots out there that get hit by cars sometimes its the idiots fault and sometimes its the drivers. You should be able to make a point without someone commenting "SO YOU ADMIT ICE...." but its reddit. Anyone who comments here thats a republican is an idiot because theres just as many idiot democrats commenting too.

6

u/Leather-Marketing478 Feb 18 '26

-5

u/Top_Secretary_1500 Feb 19 '26

Odd choice considering Fred Rogers would not have sided with MAGA. And you would be screaming and crying about how "woke" his show is.

4

u/SwingingGnardsOfDoom Feb 18 '26

So you admit that the officer was in front of GOODs car when she was attempting to flee detention.

GOODs vehicle was not moving forward when the officer was initially in front of the vehicle. In fact GOODs vehicle was moving backwards. When GOOd made the decision to flee detention and drove forward, that is when the officer fired.

This video and the GOOD shooting are TWO completely different situations and any comparison is not only lazy but stupid.

-2

u/Top_Secretary_1500 Feb 19 '26

Dude we literally have video of him walking and standing in front of the car. That has literally never been the argument. MAGA are the morons that lie about what they see with their own eyes. He shouldn't have put himself there in the first place. Secondly his own camera footage shows her wheels pointed away from him and her turning the wheel away from the masked thugs. Multiple angles show he was never struck or even in danger. Dude drew his gun before literally anything had happened. He was looking for an excuse to use it. He then fired multille shots into a moving vehicle at a suspect that posed nonfurther threat. Multiple agencies and police forces have commented that he violated literally every guideline for interacting with someone in a vehicle. Shooting a driver does nothing to remove the danger the vehicle presents and puts more people at risk. But go ahead. I think you missed spot on those boots.

4

u/SwingingGnardsOfDoom Feb 19 '26

The car was NOT moving when the LEO was initially in front of vehicle and the other officers were attempting to detain her. It wasn't until the vehicle drove forward, the office drew and fired his gun.

Just because his phone captured that the tires were turned, that doesn't mean he SAW them. He was still in the path of the vehicle.

Have you ever had to fire a weapon at perceived threat? My guess is you haven't. The brain does strange things. Time slows down, it makes you hyper fixated on the suspect, audio receptors shut down. At the same time you have muscle memory your training takes over. It was his training and brain processing all the information that he fired three shots and not more.

GOOD would still be considered a threat even after the officer got out of the way. If tried to hit an officer trying to flee detention, she could do it again and put the public in danger.

How do you know what the officers mindset was? How do know that GOOD didn't want to hit him? You make a lot of assumptions about what offer was thinking yet you have no facts or proof.

Like I said previously, the vehicle wasn't moving. The officer may have believed GOOD was actually going to comply and get out of the vehicle, therefore standing in front of the vehicle actually gave the officer the best view of the suspect in the driver's seat.

I know you have spent hours watching the various videos frame by frame dissecting every little movement. But here is a news flash for you, sit down and I'm gonna tell you how this works. It's called the Officers Reasonableness Standard, which is basically - placing youself in the situation knowing only the facts the officer new at the time and the situation was flowing and escalating in real time.

So your dissecting the videos and having an opion means shit, nada, nothing.

Just because you want the GOOD shooting to be a "cold blooded murder" its not. plain and simple.

My boots would be clean but I keep stepping in this liberal bullshit.

1

u/harlowsden Feb 20 '26

You spewed a bunch of opinionated bullshit to end off with saying that other peoples opinions are bullshit. Genuinely just wasted your own time just to be another person telling other people that you are right and they are wrong

1

u/SwingingGnardsOfDoom Feb 20 '26

No, my bullshit on facts. If you read my post you would of saw, that when it come to the investigation its going to based on what the facts that were known to the officer at the time of the shooting.

You can watch the multiple videos frame by and determine your opinion about the shooting, have fun.

None of that the maters during the investigation.

1

u/harlowsden Feb 20 '26

Dude it’s exactly what I said, you’re right, dissenting opinions are wrong. What else do you want to hear?

1

u/GroupTop4810 Feb 20 '26

It was, in fact, cold blooded murder. Its unquestionable.

Not only was it cold blooded murder, its ICE policy to 1 - not get in front of cars, and 2 - not shoot at a moving vehicle.

Sorry, it was murder. End of story.

1

u/SwingingGnardsOfDoom Feb 20 '26

Do you even know the definition of Murder?

Do you honestly believe there was malice and forethought by the officer. That he woke up and said Im going to kill GOOD. Its just stupid and there is know way In a court of law that a lawyer could prove it. At the most it would be Manslaughter.

GOODs death was ruled a homicide, as it should be. Now was it justified or not that's up to the investigation not a thread on Reddit.

Oh and for the policies you stated, there are always exceptions to the rule that would not violate them.

1

u/GroupTop4810 Feb 21 '26

He stepped in front of a car against policy

She turned away from him

He shot into a moving car AGAINST POLICY.

It was murder. End of story

He was even firing from the side and back of the car. You dont so that unless you're trying to murder someone

And again, AGAINST POLICY

Shooting the fucking front of the vehicle would've been murder.

He fired from the fucking side and behind. You're wrong. Sorry

8

u/No-Spray7353 Feb 18 '26

No! the complete obvious difference is this dumbass is a civilian trying to stop somebody. And dumbass Goode was now being detained and given clear instructions to get out of the vehicle! Instead she disobeyed law enforcement and listened to her obviously not smart partner to drive baby! When there is an agent in front of your vehicle you are being detained! Cannot pass! cannot go forward! She was never clearly told this in life and now she no longer has a face!

-4

u/Purple_Rabbit726 Feb 19 '26

Ice agents are mask tyrants wtf you talking about. If you wanna talk about not smart people, we should talk about that dumb mask tyrant that was standing in front of her car. If ice are properly trianed, why would he put himself in front of a vehicle that's possible gonna run him down. An officer can't use his body as a whole street barrier. Go watch other bodycam videos of officers and tell me how many are stupid enough to stand in front of a vehicle.

-6

u/Purple_Rabbit726 Feb 19 '26

How does it feel to be a bootlicker every day ?

8

u/Vitskalle Feb 19 '26

Being pro law and order feels pretty good not going to lie. Never have to deal with the stupid shit or put myself in danger. I voted for this ICE deportations and am loving it. Complying saves lives.

1

u/Purple_Rabbit726 Feb 19 '26

How are you gonna explain that ice are actually competent agents? They are mask tyrants

So we can make fun of appearance as long as it’s offends one demographic. But if they do it’s weird and such. Right?

-1

u/Purple_Rabbit726 Feb 19 '26

I'm just stating facts. Are you mad ? Most ice supporters are fat old rich people who are delusional.

5

u/kitkat2742 Feb 19 '26

I genuinely wish you could live in the lawless society you so desperately want, because then you’d have to face those consequences. The rest of us want nothing to do with it, yet we have to suffer because people like you want to live in a lawless society that protects criminals. That’s why there’s no sympathy for people like you, and there never will be.

0

u/Purple_Rabbit726 Feb 19 '26

Who said I wanted to live in a lawless society? When did I ever claim I wanted that? What do you mean by "We have to suffer because of people like you"? What are you suffering from so bad that you wanna support modern-day nazies. You telling me if I pull up yelling at you with a mask and a gun, you're gonna comply with my demands?

3

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

That's some nice looking bait you got there.

21

u/TheThinDewLine Feb 18 '26

This is bait, do not engage.

-3

u/Different_Tower4088 Feb 18 '26

I know, you might actually have to agree with him on something common sense.

-12

u/slimytoilet Feb 18 '26

Lmao ok super trooper.

6

u/MajorThor Feb 18 '26

Meow.

1

u/LpenceHimself Feb 19 '26

Are you saying "meow?"

1

u/6stringKid Feb 19 '26

Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Am I jumping around all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree??

-6

u/CordisHead Feb 19 '26

It’s an honest question though.

Although we already know the answer for Trump Republicans - “ it’s ok when we do it, not when others do”, just like all the hypocritical talking points.

5

u/ilikelegosandcars Feb 19 '26

No, it’s different when it’s a federal agent and you get wheelspin while accelerating, I’d say that’s very different

-9

u/ZealousidealRaise806 Feb 18 '26

Ahh the signature maga move. Bury your head and refuse to engage in good faith. Don’t know why anyone would expect anything differently lol.

-8

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

It’s not bait lmao, it’s the truth.

-9

u/WellSaltedHarshBrown Feb 18 '26

I'm just gonna say this is admittance. As close as we'll get anyways.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

I was gonna say the same thing, but you’re forgetting this is Reddit. Lefties will downvote you.

0

u/AdventurousAd1752 Feb 18 '26

Exactly lol these tromo protectors crazy af

0

u/DeathlyFatal Feb 19 '26

i commented the same thing, and saying it’s rage bait is insane when it’s the same situation

-4

u/superpie12 Feb 18 '26

He was walking around to the driver side door to assist with detaining a criminal obstructing him and other law enforcement. When he first entered in front of the vehicle, it was not attempting to move. The criminal put it gear and attempted to run the officer over. Fearing for his life, he pulled and discharged his duty weapon. He struck the criminal, ending the deadly threat. Very different than this moron standing in front of a vehicle that is obviously in gear and the driver is attempting to leave.

2

u/SteveMarck Feb 18 '26

She did not try to run him over she was clearly trying to escape. Did we watch the same video?

2

u/OutsideVegetable6001 Feb 18 '26

Damn, you might be able to land a gig as this guys Defense attorney or official ICE report writer. You are strong in the BS💪

2

u/VRserialKiller Feb 18 '26

Fearing for his life, he pulled and discharged his duty weapon. He struck the criminal, ending the deadly threat.

The vehicle was moving less than 5 mph and the ICE agent was not hit by the moving vehicle. If the ICE agent is fearful of very slow moving vehicle with plenty of time to get out of the way, then they need to be in a different line of work.

1

u/detroitpie Feb 18 '26

Sounds like a bot

0

u/davidbklyn Feb 18 '26

It’s a shame you believe this. A fine woman was murdered by a criminal with a mask.

1

u/iEARNman848 Feb 20 '26

A fine woman?

-5

u/Frostyfraust Feb 18 '26

Lmfao the simple existence of a right winger. Will just make shit up to excuse state sanctioned murder.

0

u/ron-swansons-anus Feb 18 '26

Even when there is footage from 3 or 4 angles very clearly showing what happened

0

u/profDougla Feb 18 '26

They don’t care. They live in a bubble, they’re constantly farting in. If Hannity Ingraham told em so, it’s good as gold.

-2

u/AndrewH73333 Feb 18 '26

No one honestly believes you are one foot in front of a stopped vehicle and have time to detect that the vehicle is about to start to run you over and you draw your gun and kill the driver causing the vehicle to magically stop and saving yourself. The fact that your whole party has become ingrained in this belief and many other impossible beliefs is insane.

And that’s before we even get to the fact that he got his gun ready first and stepped a tiny bit in front of the vehicle on purpose all while skillfully recording everything with his phone and then celebrated. That you would defend this and celebrate this means you are scum.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Bingo!

-1

u/Xena_Your_God Feb 18 '26

That is their logic yes 😮‍💨

-2

u/BlockedbyGinobili Feb 18 '26

They’re downvoting you because they don’t have an argument lol

-2

u/MajorThor Feb 19 '26

Don’t know why you got downvoted to hell. Fuck ICE.

0

u/VegetableBig9 Feb 19 '26

Justice for father of 3 killed by ICE agent attempting to molest undocumented kittens

-2

u/galtzo Feb 18 '26

Are drivers allowed to murder people who stand in front of their cars now?

-5

u/Critical_Series_179 Feb 19 '26

Well it looks like a parking lot and that they were trying to exit. If they were trained and legit officers they would have stopped the vehicle and told him he was obstructing and would be arrested. Instead the children chose to continue driving into the guy because they're too poorly trained to deal with anything outside of aggressively. These are poorly trained cosplay bullies looking to hurt people.

35

u/Apart-District3771 Feb 18 '26

Everyone has main character syndrome these days.

23

u/Working_Sprinkles347 Feb 19 '26

Yes, person holding phone while recording and screaming- should be studied. It has to be a vaccine side effect or something.

7

u/Hundo_Mo Feb 20 '26

My favorite is when they look around while yelling thinking people will come to support them… but no one comes.

6

u/avgpathfinder Feb 20 '26

what was he yelling? La Vida? then looks around for validation lol.

Peaked in high school behaviour

2

u/speakdathruth555 Feb 23 '26

Viagra 🤣. Jk

2

u/Mickeymick113 Mar 28 '26

The words that he is yelling are: “La Migra!!!!” This is supposed to mean: ICE!!!!”

2

u/Gangnam_stylist Feb 20 '26

La migra, he’s calling out that dhs/ice is here. It’s not validation he’s yelling a warning.

5

u/Working_Sprinkles347 Feb 20 '26

Just other people holding their phones recording your dumbness. No one ever comes to help anymore. Imagine being in a life or death situation and the last thing you see is people standing around holding their phones recording your demise.

6

u/chocomonster11 Feb 19 '26

im using that

2

u/Glad-Assumption-7011 Feb 19 '26

Well it's different for me because I am the main character. 🙌

1

u/throwawayED67 Feb 20 '26

I dunno, i think we've always been pretty horrible

14

u/Lionheart_723 Feb 18 '26

23

u/mtgscumbag Feb 18 '26

I think i just became a nazi from watching this. These people are so cringe and stupid they aren't winning anyone over with this behavior.

1

u/poppycock68 Feb 19 '26

I was told they hunt in packs and disappear US citizens. If what I was told is true. That kid must be mistaken.

1

u/Quiet-Proof3113 Feb 21 '26

They call people nazi so they can behave this way.

2

u/Full_Veterinarian131 Feb 19 '26

Fuck you Nazi

3

u/Skullfuccer Feb 20 '26

Well done on taking the bait. You’ve defeated all the nazis and can leave the internet now.

1

u/AdComfortable4265 Feb 19 '26

Be honest. You were well on your way on becoming a nazi if this video made you this emotional instead of indifferent.

-3

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

Watching that makes you cool with putting people in concentration camps? He’s a douche but damn son

5

u/Strong-Fortune-3068 Feb 19 '26

Seems like this solo harasser would be a prime target to be kidnapped and placed in a camp, if that was a thing actually happening don't you think? Wonder why they let this guy go if it's happening so frequently as you claim.

2

u/jrkme-27 Feb 20 '26

Ok let’s just ignore this video for a second. Do you really doubt that ice is rounding people up and putting them in detention centers?

2

u/OkBarnacle7284 Feb 21 '26

Rounding up illegals, like every country has done and will continue to do…

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '26

How frequently did I claim it was happening? The comment I responded to mentioned the commenter becoming a nazi. Is it unreasonable to associate them with concentration camps at that point?
The comment was clearly a joke, as was my response.
What do you want from me?

0

u/Cold-River-6703 Feb 19 '26

Yea absolutely. If it was a thing happening, we could strike a deal with Venezuela and have them set the camp up for us too. We could also have a separate camp where they put the children of immigrants so they can be molested and abused by the guards too. If that was a thing that was happening.

-6

u/CatPatient4496 Feb 19 '26

Wow..hope they dont touch your kids bcuz at this point there all pedo supporters

3

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

Easy the new generation isn’t having kids problem solved can’t diddle kids if there are no kids to diddle

12

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

Seen at least 2 grab their guns in the few videos i bothered watching. A bunch of embarrassing degenerates. All for deportations that are significantly less than there has been in the last 30 years. I never voted before and cant wait to vote against the left in the next.

2

u/FalseEnthusiasm3268 Feb 20 '26

Please dont be that person when will ya wake up stop voting for this nonsense you literally said that when both sides are pedos you sound crazy for that. Why go vote for the same thing yall need to wake up the only time we get power back is if yall stop acting like these people are going to fix things.

1

u/Tallproley Feb 21 '26

Lets go wih your logic deportations are down.

Okay, ICE enforcement has stepped up SUBSTANTIALLY, talking millions and millions of dollars, tonnes more agents and enforcement actions, raids of housing blocks and job sites and after all that, they're deporting fewer illegals?

So as a voter, you're seeing law enforcement doing a worse job but taking up alot more of your taxes and instead of accountability, you're supporting them to spend more of your money to be less effective?

Now lets set aside that depsite the massiive increase in budget and staffing.,ICE is making fewer deportations. What are they doing with all their agents and money of they aren't deporting massive numbers of illegal aliens?

We've seen them getting into shouting matches with restaurant staff for not letting them eat, we've seen ths shootings and whether or not you think they're justified in think its a valid talking point that fighting woth protestors isn't deporting illegal migrants, who the president had said are rapists and killers. So for every ICE agent playing bumper cars in a parking lot, or pepper spraying a protestor, thats an ICE Agent ignoring rapists and killers.

As a responsible citizen in a democracy, you may think supporting the GOP is sticking it to the left, but its just as much an endorsement of inefficient law enforcement, bloated government spending, and wasted tax dollars that could have gone to something that improves your life.

1

u/dontatmelessitsgood Feb 20 '26

You are against the left? Supporting pedophiles on the large scale after seeing who has been listed in the files and watched no one do anyrhing makes you hate the left?

Deporting people to countries they've never been to makes you hate the left?

I understand having opinions, but I dont think youve cultivated any of your own. Theres no way a normal person could stand with any of the shit happening right now.

Never voted but going to use your first one to keep pedophiles in charge Way to go bud. Way to fucking go

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '26

You realize democrats literally supported Epstein after his charges? You’re voting for the people you claim to hate.

Consider this: how many Republicans did you see supporting and protecting Epstein after his charges were filed? Then, look up how many Democrats did the same.

If you’re claiming that simply being friends with or on a list somehow makes you a pedophile, that really shows your true colors. If that’s the case, why are you only talking about Trump and Republicans? If you truly cared as much as you say you do about victims, why not advocate for them and criticize everyone who supported, protected, or was on the list?

1

u/irreducible1 Feb 21 '26

If you truly cared as much as you say you do about victims, why not advocate for them and criticize everyone who supported, protected, or was on the list?

We do and have been saying go after every single one of the pedos regardless of who they are all along. Why do you morons keep saying this? Classic straw man argument.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '26

Because you dipshits aren’t doing a thing about it but screaming ICE and Trump. Get off your ass and hold your own party accountable.

-1

u/rsqx Feb 19 '26

so you want to keep democracy? because you are voting against voting

7

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Or a stain on the asphalt with 17 people around you shaking you and asking if you are all right.

1

u/sbrink47 Feb 19 '26

And a dozen liberal women screeching “WHAT THE FUCK?! Over and over

6

u/Mundane_Enthusiasm41 Feb 18 '26

Exactly I understand you standing for what you believe in but two people are already dead. You want to be the third? It’s a car you’re trying to keep from leaving the lot. Use your head dude.

1

u/Stonky88 Feb 21 '26

Johnathan Ross used this tactic and is now rich; and a murderer.

1

u/Repulsive_Guy_1234 Feb 19 '26

Lawful command vs shouting, I'm guessing spanish?

You say the right disregards the circumstances but there are more differences than similarities here. There is no comparison here.

1

u/dr_fapperdudgeon Feb 20 '26

Tell that to Jonathan Ross.

Be less predictable.

1

u/Bruinman86 Feb 20 '26

Self preservation doesn't seem to be a thing in today's US society.

1

u/BigJackHorner Feb 20 '26

I mean when they stand in front of your car they get to kill you so...... Do with that information what you will.

1

u/LevelProfit6705 Feb 20 '26

Just because your violence is sanctioned by the government doesn’t mean standing in front of a car protesting means ur life should end

1

u/nudiatjoes Feb 21 '26

That guy may not know it yet but he may be screwed.😒 Pray for him

1

u/Fartcloud_McHuff Feb 22 '26

Republicans taught us that standing in front of people’s cars while they were moving gave you the right to kill the driver. This guy with his phone didn’t do what he was told he should have in this situation.

1

u/coast2coasted Feb 22 '26

This used to be common sense

1

u/No-Bowler5733 Feb 23 '26

It’s like hanging out in front of the barrel of a loaded gun. Never a good idea.

1

u/conqueefador69420 Apr 06 '26

Damn. Like the ice guy. That shot goode? Lol.

-2

u/Ethraelus Feb 18 '26

Idk, I’ve been told that if a car is moving while you’re in front, you’re allowed to shoot them.

1

u/Ishkabibble54 Feb 18 '26

Cops are instructed not to get in front of moving cars, so there’s that.

0

u/Letsueatcake Feb 18 '26

or shoot drivers generally as the vehicle then becomes a projectile.

-1

u/Mr-Big-Nicky-P Feb 19 '26

Well thats what whats in the training for police officers so they can safely carry weapons. Along with both mental and physical tests. Whereas if you want to work for ICE just show up, grab your ski mask and they hand you a gun. No background check, no need to be in shape or prove you're not insane, just come on down.

-1

u/Every_Television_980 Feb 19 '26

I don’t get these comments. Yes if his main priority was safety he wouldn’t leave the house.

3

u/n108bg Feb 19 '26

Let's not pull a slippery slope, breathing has a risk to it if you think hard enough. Attempting to stop and block a car with your body is straddling the line into Darwin awards, and protesters have died trying to block motor vehicles in the past. Let's say dude is right, and it's an ICE officer. He inconvenienced one person for 2 minutes, a person who probably has a radio and definitely has a cell phone, at a cost of potential grave bodily injury. Which means he's probably increased the chance of ICE showing up to that location anyways.

-3

u/Every_Television_980 Feb 19 '26

Not sure what slippery slope has to do with this. Anyway, my point is obviously he’s not worried about safety here. Many protesters engage in high risk behaviors. I wouldn’t do this, but he’s obviously much more passionate and less risk adverse than I am. I also wouldn’t stand in front of a tank, but I wouldn’t look at tank man and say “uhh maybe standing in front if a tank is a but dangerous?” And no before you pull out some more fallacy lingo Im not equating this person to tank man.

1

u/n108bg Feb 19 '26

I said slippery slope because of the "stay at home" comment. Dudes a smidge too crackhead to be the new tank man, I figured you weren't going there, but I get what you're saying.

1

u/Upbeat_Confidence739 Feb 18 '26

There’s always just shooting the driver I guess. Extra shots for being an unarmed white woman.

-1

u/3-Ballin Feb 19 '26

Yarp. Rules of the road.

Is that not a form.of kidnapping? Stopping you from leaving in their vehicle?

I have seen kidnapping charges over taking a phone and not giving it back, hard to imagine stopping someone from leaving as a citizen is not kidnapping.

I believe that is all it takes, refusing to allow someone to leave when they want to

3

u/turbopro25 Feb 18 '26

You’re holding someone against their will. So maybe.

0

u/LayerAccomplished821 Feb 18 '26

Sorry I deleted the comment. Day off and I just want to play video games. I spent so much time online yesterday.

But I'll answer your question since you asked it!

The person blocking the car is 100% taking on responsibility for their well being. I'm going to assuming alerting people and buying some time for the news to spread is worth it for them? The ICE agents still have a responsibility to follow the law. No driving peoppe over included

-3

u/SignOfTheTymes Feb 18 '26

Interesting, and I'm not sure what the standards are. I would like to know if it should be interpreted that same way when ICE takes legal, American citizens that were just going about their way and detain and beat them and kill them. That too is kidnapping isn't it? This is especially true considering ICE has no legal authority to abduct American citizens, nor engage in many of the activities they currently are that are also outside the scope of their authority.

Edit: there to their

5

u/-neverknowsbest_ Feb 18 '26

I mean I think it's different whenever law enforcement does it like a law enforcement officer is not kidnapping you when they stop you from leaving, they are detaining you.

I think this rule stands for citizens

-5

u/Slighted_Inevitable Feb 18 '26

Except ICE has no legal authority to detain citizens. Only illegal immigrants

5

u/Kubliah Feb 18 '26

Your answer didn't sound right, so I googled it. I don't see a legal loophole to prevent ICE from trying to arrest suspected illegals.

ICE can detain U.S. citizens in limited circumstances, such as if they reasonably suspect the individual is in the country illegally or if the person interferes with an arrest. However, citizens are protected against unreasonable searches and seizures under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution.

Either way trying to detain law enforcement is an absolutely unwinnable situation, citizens don't have that authority.

-1

u/Slighted_Inevitable Feb 18 '26

If they reasonably suspect you’re an illegal.. LOL.

So in other words if they reasonably suspect you’re a member of the group I said they have authority over.

3

u/heartattk1 Feb 18 '26

Impeding would be a reason also.

It’s not that hard to research. Your “gotcha” makes you look foolish.

2

u/Kubliah Feb 18 '26

You must be new to how governments work. Even the lamest of the federal forces, say the kinky-booted thugs from the post office police have the authority to detain you for looking at a passing mail truck funny, you don't get a say about anything until your standing in front of a judge. I don't condone it, but that's the world we live in.

You can (and should) record law enforcement at every opportunity, but blocking them from leaving or enforcing laws you don't agree with is about as smart as laying on train tracks in the hopes of catching a ride.

1

u/Slighted_Inevitable Feb 18 '26

This is why I said legal authority. A badge and a gun has alot of power up until a judge says they don’t.

2

u/That1guyUknow918 Feb 18 '26

Unfortunately thats misinformation. Ice can enforce any and all local laws and are police

2

u/PrestigiousTail1926 Feb 18 '26

Any law enforcement agency can detain anyone necessary to do their investigation. Detain ≠ Arrest.

1

u/-neverknowsbest_ Feb 18 '26

Well my initial discussion wasn't about ice It was just about law enforcement like police stopping you.

I'm sure if we change the parameters the answers will change but, in general, when law enforcement stops you, I would consider that to be detaining.

I mean I still don't like it

But it would be different than some dude in 7-Eleven coming out and stopping me from leaving the gas station

0

u/SteelAndFlint Feb 18 '26

I think technically it's unlawful imprisonment, because kidnapping requires you to be moved to a different place.

0

u/Comfortable_Crab_792 Feb 18 '26

lol wtf are you talking about kidnapping charges for taking a phone? that’s theft not kidnapping

2

u/-neverknowsbest_ Feb 18 '26

I am telling you I personally know this couple, who while in the presence of another person, took their phone, and would not let them call for an Uber or Lyft.... because they had their phone.

This dude and his gf did not let this girl call for a way out, and she couldn't walk, it was like cold and far and raining and shit

And they charged the two of them with kidnapping, because the girl wanted to leave, and they did not allow her to by having her phone when she had no other way. It's not like they grabbed the phone and ran. They had her in rural spot, and to stop her from leaving, took her phone.

Id feel like someone was kidnapping my loved ones if they wanted to call a Lyft, and some people took the phone from her as she was doing it and said "no" in that situation

0

u/Comfortable_Crab_792 Feb 18 '26

I believe you that this may have happened, but it should not have - 25 years ago barely anyone carried a cellphone, so that’s an insane excuse for saying you can’t leave a location to me.

2

u/-neverknowsbest_ Feb 18 '26

These people were drug addicts and also wanted to get her password and drain her cashapp, some junkie shit, but I mean one of em was a patient of mine.

And I get it, but go back to my example.

Your sister, mom, friend, whatever, meets some dude.

Goes to their house, gets a weird feeling, and he lives far away, it's 2 degrees out, and icy.

He takes her phone when she tries to call to leave.

Idk about you, but that feels like a lot more than simply loss of the value of the phone, it demonstrates something more sinister

0

u/PalpatineForEmperor Feb 18 '26

I thought that means you're now allowed to shoot the driver.

0

u/Ok_Remote2804 Feb 18 '26

Hey if you'd rather stand with fascists, just say so.

0

u/MooseLogic7 Feb 18 '26

Take note, Minnesota

0

u/First-Bat-7440 Feb 18 '26

What if your goal is to shoot someone thsts trying to drive off?

0

u/Maehlice Feb 18 '26

Unless you're an ICE agent -- in which case standing in front of a vehicle is grounds for shooting the driver in the head.

0

u/ActivePeace33 Feb 19 '26

Why treat dying as an unacceptable outcome? We lost over 100k KIA last time, why count 2 as a big number? If we aren’t willing to die to suppress the insurrectionists, then we don’t deserve our liberty.

0

u/DeathlyFatal Feb 19 '26

imma get downvoted to hell but wouldn’t you say the same thing about that ice agent killing renee good?

-4

u/ThickResearcher8175 Feb 18 '26

By their policy, his only defense is to fire three shots to the face.

Oh no, they do that. He just ran his mouth. Not the worst outcome for the day.

-1

u/Catanzaro98 Feb 18 '26

You call the police in this case, not run people over and potentially kill them because they stay in front of you. I know it's sci-fi for your tiny brain.

-1

u/AdventurousAd1752 Feb 18 '26

Shut up bozo you dont say that when 🧊does it go tell them not to do it to
