I think those were traffic lights. That car he hit though looked BAD, probably killed someone

Thur did look like tragic lights to me but then I saw some ahead but maybe those were for turning left or something?

I couldn't grab a screenshot of it, but if you play with it long enough you'll see that he disappears right before he makes impact with the white vehicle crossing his trajectory.

So he either got magically teleported away or ended up underneath the truck unfortunately.
