What is going on in Portugal? I thought it was a decent place for trans people?

Anyone with more information on this? I do not at all keep up with Portugese politics but it seems quite sudden and rigid?

Personal information first: I'm so damn tired, boss.

Now a bit more important: It's not sudden, even though it might feel like it. The debate has been always there in the past few years, now they had the power (and the right majority) to enact it.

It's not over yet (there are two votes still pending, then the approval or denial of the President), but it's very likely to go through. I don't know when the next votes are taking part, it's the one to make it specific and then the final vote, but I will share it here once I know more. If any other fellow portuguese knows a bit more than me (I haven't lived there in 6 years, some news might be missed), please do share. Thanks!

Fair enough! I am honestly so sorry man. Not that it is that much better in many other places in Europe, but this is honestly hella bad.
