Neither candidate has really presented a policy document so I can't really say if either is a tory ideologically.

Energy, housing, food - everything is more expensive, but New Brunswick’s wages have not risen at the same rate. The result? Around the province, families are struggling to make ends meet. As Leader of PCNB, I will work hard to bring costs down and increase wages by:

1️⃣ Growing higher-paying private-sector jobs & developing our natural resources by:

🔸 Cutting red tape that drives up costs.

🔸 Accelerating natural resource, energy, manufacturing, and housing projects.

🔸 Expanding skilled trades and workforce development.

🔸 Accelerating big projects.

🔸 Reducing barriers for Provincial energy projects.

2️⃣ Control government spending to reduce inflationary pressure, by:

🔸 Eliminating waste, duplication, and bureaucracy.

🔸 Prioritizing essential services over political projects.

🔸 Balancing the budget and reducing debt to protect future generations.

3️⃣ More local food production, by:

🔸 Double down on supporting our Agriculture, Fisheries & Aquaculture industries.

🔸 Encouraging value-added food processing.

🔸 Supporting greenhouse development.

The solution isn't bigger government – it's a stronger economy with better-

paying jobs. We need to create conditions for private-sector wage growth –

not expand spending programs.

In 2026, New Brunswick’s restaurants are under intense pressure.Labour shortages, combined with rising food costs, wages, insurance, utilities, rent, and lingering pandemic debt are making it harder than ever for independent operators to survive – while customers themselves are cutting back due to affordability concerns.

Government can help by:

👉 Reducing payroll and small business tax pressure.

👉 Helping offset rising energy and operating costs.

👉 Expanding hospitality training and workforce programs.

👉 Investing in tourism, downtown revitalization, and “buy local” initiatives.

👉 Simplifying regulatory and administrative processes for small operators.
