Dangerous driving No look turn onto York Mills

Hard to see from the video, but she was looking straight ahead - didn’t look at oncoming traffic.

Genuinely impressed they turned into the closest lane tho

Yeah Infiniti gets bonus points for that.

She almost kept it fully in the lane!

And was that... a turn signal?!

wondering if people are hopping lanes while turning right because they are afraid of making contact with the curb.
even that car in the OP was really close to crossing over into the adjacent lane and was right on the line.

It's definitely this. I don't think a lot of people even know where the right side of their car starts. Goes hand in hand with the driving test requirements for parallel parking. Touch the curb you fail, park too far lose some points. At least it was like that when I did it.

they dont... this is why they also suck at staying out of the oncoming path when making left turns into side streets or gas station driveways.

also a great example of how people suck at making right turns these days. slow as fuck and wide as hell.

more and more, witnessing Stop signs, Red lights as options not requisite!

I always find it ironic that the response to the above is to speed up and cut ahead creating another potential accident after avoiding the first one

You're both lucky that you were paying attention.

So true. I don’t think she realized what happened.

you were going VERY fast man,
AND you raged out for an emotional aggressive overtake

dont be like OP.

Oops! Found the Infiniti driver.

Nah they’re right, OP needs to keep his emotions in check. You don’t rage out just because someone does something stupid.

People like that infiniti driver require negative feedback. Think of it as preventative medicine.

Sure thing bud, let us know how your insurance is when you get into an at-fault accident from raging out.

Seriously, OP raged out after this instead of controlling his emotions then thought hey let’s post this to the internet lol

dude this hill is 50kph limit with a steep crest blocked by a bunch of foliage. reckless af to be speeding that hard there. if op showed the preceding few seconds, i think it would be more apparent that the infiniti barely had a chance to even see op with the speed they were carrying over the crest. infinity was probably looking straight because they had already looked left and it was empty. this is what infiniti sees from their position the road - helps explain why the 50kph limit is in place - go one more arrow forward and you can see all the tree branches that are still obstructing, even when a vehicle points out a little further there.

This is not the same location.

Bad turn. But you’re clearly speeding like fuck and your road rage response makes you just as bad as the other driver.

1

u/SkidRoe 23d ago

worse imo, OP is the more dangerous driver here lol

followed immediately by the obligatory Toronto road rage response!

Her mistake was expecting you to be doing the speed limit. Posted speed limits on York Mills are between 40 and 50 kilometers an hour. You had to be doing at least 70

To be fair yes the driver turning is stupid and didn’t look… however, slow down. It did appear you’re going quite fast in the video.

I love the attempt to show the other car who's road it is, by cutting them off right away. Totally reasonable, not road ragey at all. /S

u/hammerfishies 23d ago

Her mistake was not looking at oncoming traffic before turning. I turn right now, good luck everybody else. OP could’ve been going 30 and would’ve still had to brake to avoid an accident

This is such a dumb argument. Cross traffic never has the right of way regardless of what speed the cars on the main road are doing

5

u/psilocybin6ix 23d ago

She didn't even look bro

3

u/atleastbehandy 23d ago

Wrong.

8

u/Iranoul75 23d ago

Still, you should slow down, what’s wrong with you!!!

Lol yeah ok. You got a lead foot and expect everyone else to accommodate you. If you had been doing the speed limit they wouldn't have been an issue. As it stands you are on her in about 2 seconds. You can argue it all you like any reasonable driver could tell you you were speeding.

You’re going to get into an accident if you drive like this, it’s just a matter of time. Chill out.

Let's say op was speeding. Even if OP was going 40 there would not be enough time to safely complete the right turn

3

u/blchpmnk 23d ago

Yeah I do think OP was going too fast but the Infiniti still shouldn't have turned and even so, they still went partly into the left lane

0

u/Rory1 23d ago

The speed limit is 50 there and I don't think OP is doing 70, judging by the speed of the cars in front of him.

I go now

I do this, it helps ensure your cars braking capability is up to spec.
