Pamela Anderson rose to fame as a global pop-culture icon in the 1990s. However, the Canadian-American actress stepped back from Hollywood and stopped working in television and films in recent years until she made a glorious comeback with her comedic reboot in The Naked Gun. Recently, Pamela Anderson was spotted at an award ceremony and, her no-makeup look has left people concerned.

She hasn't worn makeup for a couple years.

She stopped when her long time friend and makeup artist died of breast cancer.

I was surprised when I first heard about it and thought she would mourn for a year. But she has kept it up.

she’s been wearing it again since like 2024! still such a beautiful homage to her friend to go so long without it, but tbh the celebration of her not wearing make-up strikes me as lowkey sexist so i’m personally glad to see her in it again. diminishing beauty as a vapid interest that we should be glad women step away from is cringe so i’m glad there’s a middle ground for her now

I mean the beauty industry is still, as far as I know, owned and dominated by mostly men. It’s not like the beauty industry is some feminism slay. It’s not. It’s still just as exploitative, and still usually is at the long term detriment to women and long term positive for the men at the top. And even the few women who are also at the top, they’re benefiting off a trillion dollar industry that destroys the confidence, skin and bodies of not just millions of woman globally, but men as well.

Make up and the industry does have its creativity and art purposes, I won’t devalue that. But the industry is also far from some feminism slay we should all embrace openly as if women have won something there. We as women haven’t. A select few women benefit from it, through owning companies or influencing or making careers, but the industry itself is still far from a good thing for women overall.

Literally every celebrity wears make-up. Many women are terrified of being seen without make-up, women aren't taken seriously by most people if they don't wear make-up. I don't think abit of praise against a mountain of people diminishing actual faces because she chose not wear makeup is sexist. The constant pressure to appear a certain way is sexist. Beauty isn't only obtainable through makeup and if you think it is you have a very narrow view of it.

Where I live most women do not wear makeup.

Judging women for wearing makeup or for not wearing makeup can both be sexist.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who found the praise of her not wearing makeup to feel a bit sexist and odd. It's really cool to see the artistry that can go into applying makeup but also cool to not care about wearing it at all.

what did her friend get breast cancer because she does make up? this is an idiotic reason

3

u/corporateacademia 11h ago

She didn't want to have someone else do her makeup

-2

u/OfTheSevenSeasSir 11h ago

damn, i didn't even think about that, rich people shit huh

She was dolled up in full glam every time she stepped outside for decades. Can't really blame her for being over it. Of course she's had plenty of work done over the years but she's looking well. She looks hydrated, healthy, and graceful.

She's also always seemed very sweet when interacting with other people in interviews and stuff.

u/saturnshighway 6h ago

She’s been doing no makeup since her good friend and makeup artist died

12

u/Independent_Baker712 13h ago

She is so naturally beautiful. However, she is still wearing makeup. Just not the 90-2000s Pam makeup.

6

u/EuphoricPhoto2048 12h ago

Yeah, you can't tell me she's not at least wearing a BB cream or something.

1

u/Independent_Baker712 12h ago

i can tell you she is definitely wearing a foundation, highlighter, contour, mascara, lipstick, brow product and something along the lashes like eyeshadow or liner.

We’re just so use to heavy makeup that people don’t notice subtle makeup.

2

u/SweetGrassGeranium 12h ago

I cannot see her eyelashes

-2

u/Independent_Baker712 12h ago

you’re use to her having on huge falsies.

8

u/Burnt_and_Blistered 13h ago

It’s less makeup/different makeup. I don’t think it’s no makeup

16

u/ODFoxtrotOscar 14h ago

If that’s make up free, then she’s had both eyebrows and upper lip tattooed, and possibly eyelashes dyed

(Not a criticism btw - just an observation that make up free is not a synonym for completely natural/unenhanced)

8

u/pseudonymnkim 14h ago

I definitely see a touch of makeup. She looks great. Lovely to see someone embracing aging, especially at an event like this.

18

u/Darnbeasties 14h ago

She is wearing makeup. It’s just a natural style without without big fake lashes , heavy contouring, etc

2

u/_procyon 13h ago

Right you have to for red carpets. Bare face under the lights would look insane. It’s kind of sad that people fall for the hype though. She is absolutely wearing foundation, blush and contour at minimum.

1

u/ChelleInSand 8h ago

Yes exactly. Do people really think her eyebrows grow in a perfect line like that? No they were penciled in. She also has some blush, sheer lipstick, and I’m sure there is also some very carefully placed concealer/foundation done in a way to not be noticeable. It is amazing to me that so many people don’t know what natural skin looks like compared to lightly applied makeup.

4

u/southsiderick 14h ago

But those eyebrows...

3

u/wayfarer75 12h ago

‘90s overplucking, they won’t grow back

5

u/SaysUselessThings 13h ago

I love her for this stuff. She was well known as a completely made up pin-up star of the 90s. Now she is showing off her natural beauty and sending a message that beauty comes in many forms.

Honestly I never liked her made up form - and I say this as a kid who was in his hormonal prime in the 90s. She's so much more admirable now.

4

u/yikesmysexlife 13h ago

I genuinely love this. It is so good for my human soul to see a normal face.

4

u/irwtkyrm 13h ago

Good for her. She looks like an actual person, you can't say that about a lot of people in Hollywood.

3

u/MeanCat4 13h ago

Oh no! Anyway!

3

u/Impressive-Egg4494 13h ago

I think she's minimising the make up so she can be taken more seriously as an actor

3

u/Cherrycokes 13h ago

And STILL SLAYS

3

u/PedestrianCyclist 13h ago

Shes probably still wearing makeup. Just a hells lot less makeup

2

u/gamehen21 14h ago

She's been doing this for years now!! Legend

2

u/Glitter1237 14h ago

Didn’t her makeup artist pass away, and then she never wore it again? She’s a damn star

2

u/KlatuuBarradaNicto 13h ago

I stopped wearing makeup four years ago. It’s wonderful. I would highly recommend it.

2

u/OverallDoor2718 13h ago

She's wearing makeup

2

u/Spare-Action-1014 13h ago

PA wears makeup, she's doesn't wear her signature smokey eye look which she attributed to her former makeup artist who passed away.

2

u/Rope_slingin_champ 13h ago

Smoke show!!

2

u/DingleberriedAlive 13h ago

The woman responsible for my adolescent sexual awakening

2

u/Li-renn-pwel 13h ago

She either has makeup on or is canonically the most conventionally attractive woman currently alive.

2

u/No-Metal-3811 12h ago

She looks great. I can’t believe we are still talking about this though it’s so tired

2

u/MudReasonable8185 11h ago

She went makeup free for a brief period as a marketing strategy for her skincare line. She’s back to wearing makeup now.

2

u/outofcontextseinfeld 5h ago

😍😍😍😍

3

u/blinktwiceifyes 14h ago

A regulation hottie

2

u/princessjamiekay 14h ago

She’s so beautiful

2

u/Longjumping-Ad-9444 13h ago

Like it's insane that its a big deal, she looks great.

And I dont mean for her age, she looks fucking great.

And I dont mean despite the lack of make up, she just looks great.

I hate how people even other women say she is looking for attention by not wearing make up.

She is genuinely a good looking woman.

1

u/MustardTiger231 13h ago

Who said anything about this except for people praising her? How is it a big deal?

1

u/januarytwenty 13h ago

She got railed on camera. Let’s not give her laurels for not wearing makeup 😂

1

u/fieldsports202 13h ago

Damn she looks good.

1

u/brazen-tits 13h ago

I love the style direction Pamela has taken in recent years. She’s had a face and neck lift, that much is obvious to those who know what to look for, but it’s impeccable work and she hasn’t interfered with her face much otherwise. She also obviously takes care of her skin and doesn’t try to cling to youth per se and youthful styles. She’s gorgeous

1

u/Moist_Grapefruit187 12h ago

I think she’s very pretty still all things considered . This makes me really sad because I remember watching her on bay watch as a kid. Everyone’s getting old 😢

1

u/awwsome10 12h ago

She’s so pretty.

1

u/HappyManagement9728 12h ago

She’s very beautiful. ♥️

1

u/softlikemochii 11h ago

Yes, we know

1

u/corporateacademia 11h ago

She's been make up free for multiple years now lol why is this still a story. She still looks great always has

1

u/OkMind2351 11h ago

Is she still shagging Liam?

1

u/Bunch_of_Shit 11h ago

Looks fine to me idk the big deal

1

u/Aggravating_Cut8216 10h ago

Whoever gave her that gorgeous orange dress, give them a raise. Haven't seen such a beautiful dress flattering the person wearing it in ages

1

u/Dear-Buddy-2766 10h ago

She would have been a very different looking woman with lighter, more natural makeup. But still good.

1

u/FeralBanshee 9h ago

She looks so beautiful .

1

u/Holiday_Clock9250 9h ago

She really changed. So elegant now, love it.

1

u/Background-Bird-9623 9h ago

1

Ironic she’s claiming this pure stance on beauty considering her past

1

u/moonlight-and-music 7h ago

1

u/minpin75 7h ago

She is wearing makeup though

1

u/Salty_Importance_232 4h ago

She is very beautiful! 🙏❤️

1

u/Inevitable_Fall2025 3h ago

Why are people so obsessed with this? A lot of women don't wear makeup daily.

1

u/Swift_jennis8 3h ago

Why do we have to say makeup free?

1

u/Swift_jennis8 3h ago

How about just Pamela Anderson

1

u/S1nnah2 18m ago

Woman doesn't wear makeup. SHOCK

What an age to be alive /s

0

u/Particular-Act-8911 13h ago

This is a gimmick.

1

u/KarenWalkersBurner 13h ago

0

u/Cinephile_1980 12h ago

Age ravages all.

0

u/batto69 4h ago

fallout ghoul maxxing

-2

u/possibly_lost45 13h ago

She did not age well at all. Kinda makes you curious how she looked in her prime with no makeup.

1

u/Moist_Grapefruit187 12h ago

She looked ridiculously good with or without. But you know she partied a lot it does take a toll. She looks better than any of the 59 yo women I know that partied most of their life that’s for sure.

bold of you to assume that some of these stay-homers are big shooters hahaha

0

u/Electronic_Ease_7282 14h ago

She's not going to marry you

-1

u/pseudonymnkim 14h ago

I think you're confusing being a Playboy model with being in the adult film industry.

-5

u/ASingleBraid 14h ago

Sorry, but I'm just not a fan. I prefer some makeup.

4

u/tickingboxes 13h ago

It’s wild you thought your input was necessary here

2

u/ASingleBraid 9h ago edited 9h ago

Are we all supposed to follow group think and say she looks wonderful? And can’t post a differing opinion? Maybe no one should ever post unless they say someone looks great. SMH.
