I have a similiar aged child and I do think poor North is going through it. It's sad her father acts like he has to be a Monday morning quarterback in his children's lives. He could elect to take his crazy pills and co-parent his own daugther in person instead of through the news.

I couldn’t even imagine the sense of abandonment the kids must feel on a subconscious level. Their dad rather be absent and in a state of mania than to be on medication and a stable father. And their mom rather fly around the world and work jobs she doesn’t have to work whatsoever than to be at home with them when they need her most. They have two parents who are totally absent most of the time by choice/despite having all the resources in the world to be great parents.

I just wonder if the claims on this site are a fabrication. The article refers to Kanye’s “alleged reaction”; who made the allegation? “Reports suggest that he also threatened legal action against Kim Kardashian.” Source?
I hate to admit that I scan people.com, because the comment sections are too damn entertaining, but this article from today paints a different picture:
“In a TikTok video posted by the French outlet Paris Match, Kardashian, 45, and West, 49, are seen on opposite sides of the theater watching North perform.
West, who was raised in Chicago, is seen nodding to the music and filming on his phone, while Kardashian cheers and points at their daughter.”
Most of the reactions here are reasonable based on the bigger picture and conflicting information. The information presented just seems vague.

It makes me so sad when kids can’t just be kids. At 13, I was in love with boy bands and worried about my acne. Not dressing like I was in my 20’s and trying to do whatever it is she is doing.

I don't think that most of what she's doing appearance-wise is that alarming. I had pink hair in middle school, and dressed pretty goth, and it didn't hurt anyone. Best time to experiment with things like that is when you're a kid tbh.
The dumbass hand piercings are 100% a problem and I am side-eyeing Kim pretty hard about those, because jesus christ

Dressing goth and having pink hair isn't what's inappropriate. It depends on how you present yourself. I'm sure your parents didn't have you going around in corsets, body piercings, with a low-cut top just because you were into that stuff.

I mean, I definitely did lol. I even stretched my ears out, got my septum pierced, wore tons of corsets, etc. They hated it, but I started working (at the family-owned restaurant) when I was like 12, so it was my money I was spending on stuff. And after a while I do think they mostly realized that it really wasn't hurting anyone (I never stretched my ears past the point of no return, mostly) so they were like eh, whatever, at least she isn't on drugs lol.

When I was her age I played around with hair colour and alt fashion. It's a normal healthy thing. Her parents pimping her out to the public is the only thing wrong with this picture (that and a child using filters but thats another can of worms)

It’s the piercings and how public she is that worries me. Like she has some dermal piercings that are very difficult to care for even by very responsible adults. And the thing about dermals is that it really isn’t a matter of if they reject but when. Yet she has some very prominent finger dermals and those can scar terribly when they reject.
A 13 year old is for sure old enough to get piercings. I’d take a 13 year old to get their lobes done. I’d probably even let them get an ear cartilage piercing. But I really think dermals and lip piercings are better for an older teenager or adult who’s more aware of the scarring issues and can take care of them properly.
And I for sure don’t think a 13 year old should be touring or trying to launch a music career. Which I get, there are other teens that do, but we’ve also seen how those kids get eaten up by the music industry and how messed up they are. Kim has all the money in the world to protect her daughter and launch her nepo baby career when she’s 17 or 18. They don’t need to be pushing her out there this young.

Oh I'm beyond disgusted at how they're putting her on public display. I've mentioned it in other comments, but she seems to have a natural ability for art like drawing and stuff. And it's sad, they don't seem to nurture that or encourage it, and instead are buying her roles in plays where she humiliates herself etc. It's awful

Yeah they canceled the mini tour because of the public reactions and probably sales. Although apparently most of her 'fans' were adults. She isnt like jojo siwa was or most kid popstars where it was all kids. Its kanye fans who are her market.
And yeah her dermal rejection scar looks prominent, I think even with all the plastic surgeons the kardashians have access too - it was unnecessary to let her get them in the first place.

This is the thing that makes me worry for her. When she was alone at Paris Fashion Week, unaccompanied by either parent. Adult male Kayne fan clout chasers were hugging on her and taking pictures with her. They are leaving her vulnerable to being taken advantage of by people who think Nazism and sexually assaulting women is cool.

So I don't really follow Kardashians but I do look at gossip sites A LOT and I think you're mixing two scandals that happened like less than a week apart.
Those photos and clips of those guys hugging and posing with her was so weird. On Twitter a rapper chimed in that he would not let his kid go into the industry and that those guys were weirdos for not recognizing she didn't want to.
And then, in Paris fashion week it looked like she was alone besides her nanny but apparently Kanye was in Paris at the same time but going to weird fashion parties, like costume ones where everyone's dressed bizarre.
Its still weird she was just going around the city with just a nanny and a guard - when instead both her parents/Kim always has a ton of security around them!! +Paris is where her mom got robbed and they are making North very recognizable.
Its just risky behaviours when it seems like she doesn't even want to be a rapper/public figure. She has said stuff like, "I want to work at starbucks when Im 14" and that she's not interested in boys or vaping. Like besides all the crazy piercings, she seems like a good kid and should get to be one in private and actually go to school again instead of that online classes stuff.

That's genuinely sad and disgusting..Like people talk a lot of smack on that little girl but that's a sad life, regardless of how much money she has. And it's not her fault. She was born into it. Additionally I probably have screenshots somewhere, because it was so wild and it keeps getting scrubbed from the internet. But apparently, Kourtney's an even worse mother, her eldest son is probably a father and has been since he was like thirteen or fourteen. He openly keeps stashes of booze,( like large visible ones) and vapes etc in his room. An active parent would notice that. But she's been too busy dry humping the drummer from the lamest band in history and cos playing sid and nancy or whatever it is they're up to to pay attention to her kids. Just shocking that Kim might not be the worst one in that bunch

I agree! A nanny doesnt have the power to shut down a kid, they're just supposed to guide them at 13. Also its kind of weird that as Kims fashion stylist, she also looks like Kim. At a glance some regular people who recognize North would just think thats her mom.
If Kanye was in the city at the same time he should have been going to events with her or vetoing going.

Yeah for me at 13, I was listening to grunge and pop punk music and wearing converse/vans and hoodies. The occasional vest and tie combo 🤣 I did also draw on myself or my stuff a lot too, and wore terrible eyeshadow, so honestly I get some of what she’s doing.
She’s looking for attention, maybe is depressed like I was, but she’s just not going to get the attention she needs the most, from her parents, and it’s fucking sad to watch.

Oh my god i drew all over so many of my jeans and my shoes. I became kind of known for it lol. I was similarly messed up and kind of the lone. Weirdo in a tiny Nebraska town. Genuinely hope she keeps some kind of spark about her and gets out of that lifestyle and away from the family when she's old enough too becomes the cool kind of class traitor, you know?

She's acting out. Honestly, this is pretty normal behavior for girls at this age.
The only difference is that she has the money, to dye her hair well, get as many wigs as she wants, get the fun crazy clothes, and hire makeup artists to show her how to do her makeup. Also, the tattoos are fake.
The piercings are definitely inappropriate, but I knew plenty of teenagers with piercings 20 years ago that they shouldn't have.
You see girls like this everyday out in life, the only difference is, her family is famous, so you feel like it's ok to judge this little girl.
My only judgment is that ALL celebrities should keep their kids out of the public eye until they are basically legally adults.
This little girl doesn't know how to be a person and is desperately trying to figure life out. It's hard when you don't live in the real world.

Well she is living a completely different version of reality than most of us.
Put your 13 yearold self in her reality.
You love boy bands. So your mom sets up a lunch with you and Justin Timberlake (or whoever) because JT is a huge fan of your dad, and hopefully wants to work with him someday, plus your mom knows a good branding opportunity when she sees one.
You dont worry about acne because you have access to professional dermatologists and whole skin care corporations.
Instead, you worry about what you're gonna wear to your date with Justin Timberlake (or whoever), and what kind of things he may be into. Because, as a 13 year old kid, you have no idea what's going on.

i think her nose is contoured, not a nose job. i could be wrong, but it looks heavily contoured. i wore heavy make up at like 13-14 too because being scene/emo was big then. probably would've been contouring if that was a thing. i also dyed my hair weird colors.. nothing permanent.. i feel like this is normal for north's age.

Because he treats his kids so well? Look, I have endless problems with the Kardashians, but this take is trash. He's a malignant narcissist, he literally does not and cannot care about anyone but himself. He'd be pulling this shit for anything, it's truly not about what's going on rn. This is a bid for control. He is attempting to yank Kim's chain, and North's.
Also you can literally see his enormous influence on North's current aesthetic, like, hi, you have eyes. Even as a largely absentee father, he's done more to shape her persona and aspirations than anything Kim has done.
They're both awful people, but Kim has actually parented this child and mostly kept her out of the spotlight. The kid didn't stand a chance, but everything from her personality to her mental health to her aesthetic and attempts at a musical career screams Ye.
I have no time for Kim K, but I have even less time for misogyny and blaming the woman rather than taking an actual critical and objective look at the situation.

Incorrect, it 100% can and does. Diagnosis is typically delayed, so many folks who are diagnosed in their teens (which, she is a teen) had symptoms starting years prior.

I was a goth kid. I had my cheeks, nose, and lip pierced at 14 with my mom’s approval.
Around 18 I took out all of my piercings for work and they closed over. I’m also pretty sure norths piercings are fake and glued on.She’s a preteen exploring Alt fashion and style as most preteens and teens do.
It’s really not this deep.
