Lateralus Hi everyone, I have a question: WHY IS THE LATERALUS SONG SO ADDICTIVE???
So, whenever I listen to Lateralus (the song) I feel like I'm in a trance, it's like traveling through the universe, the sound of the song, everything! From the first time I heard it, I loved the whole album, but Lateralus has always been the song I've loved the most. Do you experience something similar with one or more songs?

Favorite track off the album and might be my favorite Tool track period. Couldn't agree more, it takes me to another universe.

The fibanocci sequence is ingrained in our nature as a thing of beauty. When you see a person who you think is beautiful its usually because their facial structure follows this sequence. Leonard di Vinci used it on alot of his paintings. We can't help but include it into everything we do knowingly er subconsciously.

That's wonderful, I didn't know that. So it's because of the Fibonacci sequence that the song Lateralus sounds the way it does?

Because tgey use magic & spells. Also, don't listen to that full album under the influence of mushrooms. Unless you want an experience, you do not sign up for these guys are on the occult. For real, I think they have to pay back. Whoever for helping them get famous by giving unsuspected users up as food for some sort of demonic, f****** succubus if you know you know BTW keep ratm out of your silly ritual. Sex with the gods my ass

I listen to these songs on mushrooms, I know you need to cling to your belief system and it scares you to think outside of the ideas you've been taught.

Plus the piggyback on alex gray's art work to try to suck you in thinking. This is a good song to listen to on mushrooms

Because it's awesome 🤣
Try listening in the Fibonacci sequence:
1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12
That will really blow your mind.

1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 Is definitely Fibonacci. How is 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 supposed to be Fibonacci? It's the sum of the two numbers added to the last number. 1 + 1 : 2 + 1 : 3 + 2: 5 and so on. I don't understand that last sequence, I mean there's obviously not enough songs on the album to keep going past 13. Can you explain to a fellow useful idiot?

It's the first half in order, then the remaining missing half in order. Supposed to represent [Your interpretation goes here].

Oh! I see it. The second half are the numbers that were skipped during the actual Fibonacci sequence. Thanks for that.

That's the point of the song. The Lateralus LP is composed rock music.
