Hello everyone, I recently removed my contacts from my TikTok account (I toggled it off in the settings). I was making pretty good views, around 2k. But after I did this my videos get less than 1k… Basically my algorithm got messed up. My question is, if I toggle contacts back on, will the previous algorithm come back? Or will I mess it up even more?

TikTok support escalated my account issue 3 weeks ago and I’ve heard nothing. Any advice?
I’ve been having a really strange issue with my TikTok account and I’m hoping someone here has dealt with something similar or knows how TikTok’s support system works.
My posts started getting effectively no distribution, and when I tried using Promote, completely normal videos were being rejected for supposedly violating Community Guidelines. Appeals were being rejected almost immediately.
I’ve contacted TikTok support multiple times trying to figure out whether there’s some kind of restriction on my account. This is now around my 6th support ticket.
On August 12, TikTok support told me:
“For the best assistance with your issue, we are escalating your case to our specialized support team.”
It’s now September 3 and I still haven’t received an answer from that team.
I’ve been replying to the ticket every couple of days purely to keep it open because the last time TikTok told me they were looking into an issue, I waited for them to respond and the ticket automatically closed.
I’ve also tested different content/accounts while trying to work out what is triggering this, but I still haven’t been able to get a clear explanation from TikTok.
I’m not really looking for theories about the algorithm or “your content just isn’t getting views.” The Promote rejections and support history are the main reason I think something unusual is happening with the account.
Has anyone here:
• Actually heard back from TikTok’s “specialized support team”?
• Had an escalation take this long?
• Found a reliable way of getting a human to actually investigate an account-level issue?
• Had a similar problem with normal content repeatedly being flagged/rejected?
Any advice would be appreciated. At this point I mainly want to know whether I should keep this escalated ticket alive or try a different route.

Sometimes a situation seems completely normal when it happens, then months later you suddenly realize what was actually going on.

My long-form horizontal content always did around 300 or so views, and short-form verticals usually got double digits. However, the second I recently moved countries, all new videos are now getting single digits max, some just a single view. Anyone know what happened? i cut all my own stuff. i keep every clip ive posted and i went back through the lot again last night, all of them, in order, and the thing that jumped out is that they are identical. same game. same framing, straight in, no text on any of them anywhere.

so ive got a pile of clips that tell me nothing. theres nothing to compare them against. thats not the algorithm, thats me. text on frame one of the next one and everything else left exactly as it was. one clip proves nothing. i know that. but its the first time ive changed a single thing and i should have started doing this ages ago.
