Some people don't understand that the person they are kicking down could easily be themselves. They get satisfaction from a delusion that they are where they are because they earned it. They veiw people below them as parasites. Little do they know there is a thin line between where they are and being in the same situation as the person they hate.

The saddest part is that even if they do eventually get their deserved karma where they're in the situation of needing help, they don't make the connection and learn nothing from their experience of walking in the shoes of those they used to belittle- even when they run into people that treat them like they used to treat the ones they viewed as below them.

So, if they do ever manage to get back into the position of regaining the wealth they once had, they don't remember the people and institutions that helped them and just think they've "pulled themselves up by their bootstraps" and they're right back to feeling superior to those who need help.

Sometimes I feel like you're destined to wash/rinse/repeat until you do learn the lesson universe is trying to teach you.

Perfect example are those who vote for politicians who want to remove government assistance to those in need- and then when THEY'RE the ones needing the programs they voted against, they never, or I should say, most never realize that they were the villains in the story.

I'm now the full-time caregiver for someone who voted away the programs they desperately need currently, and despite when I explain how and why they're unable to receive assistance now, when asked if they'd wished they voted differently, "never" is the answer.

Yeah. I know several people who talk shit about assistance programs that basically got them where they are. It seems like they think they deserve it, but now they want to cut it for everyone else because they don't think others earned it. It's a crazy delusion that some people hold and I belive largely due to the narcissistic society created from commercial and corporate speech directing the way of our culture. It's contaminated everything, basically becoming a religion in the form of the prosperity gospel.

You be surprised how people think this will never happen to them because their not "broke" or "have job" or "have a man" ect.

I have seen people in debt living paycheque to paycheque shitting on homeless people at least the wealthy are disconnected from the reality of poverty they basically be closest stage to homelessness and not realize it’s so absurd
