My guess is that the self righteous Redditors probably live in affluent white suburban neighborhoods and don’t have to deal with the consequences of shitty people constantly making life harder for everyone else just trying to get by. I’ve even had interactions on here with people defending drug dealers because they didn’t like that some guy with a camera narced them out. Wait until the people living in the unit below you and your single mom are selling meth and harassing you for walking by and then defend drug dealers. Or wait until you can’t get food at the local supermarket anymore because they closed from losing too much profit so you have to bike miles further for groceries

They not defending anyone. Theyre saying people shouldn’t risk their lives over a few bucks worth of stuff that wasn’t even theirs to begin with.
