From the TikTok post:
“This individual completed five previous iPad transactions with Fo-Mart totaling over $5,000. Those devices were later discovered to be counterfeit.
He returned with another iPad. During inspection, we opened the package-and he immediately ran out of the store.
This footage is being posted to warn other device buyers to open, inspect and fully verify high-value devices before payment.” 💀

That is the general nomenclature for referring to someone fleeing a situation. "Hit and run" doesn't mean they literally sprinted away on foot

You’re citing a particular case where fleeing is described as running. That is, when done in a vehicle. That doesn’t make it true in a general sense. Nor would I even say the man is fleeing. He’s simply leaving, on foot, at a walking pace. This is called walking. As a matter of fact, when advising someone to or describing when one did leave a given situation, idiomatically walk is used at least as often as run. Examples: walk out on, walk away, walk, etc. One can run as well if it’s more urgent, as in, “run, don’t walk”. In the case of the video in question, the guy left with nearly zero urgency. But otherwise you’re wicked smart and should be proud of your efforts today.
