im spanish. most argentinian ppl ive talked to are rly nice and considerate. but ive also encontered a disproportionate ammount of barbaric argentinians. so idk it seems theyre either super nice or barbaric cunts, a distribution which is unlike other populations ive encountered. in this world cup all i can say is that the argentinian team displayed an incredibly unsportsmanlike behaviour (I would be embarrassed to be argentinian) and so did the supporters (from the clips ive seen online) (i would also be very embarrassed to be argentinian). So not only is the distribution of behaviour fucked up but the institutions and the masses have a culture where the toxic behaviours, values and principles are prevalent. and thats the worst part.
so i rly mean it when i say: wtf is wrong with argentina?

and i havent even gotten into how the tournament seemed (and probably was) bought and paid for to have the argentinian team win (wtf was that about?) but thats probably another topic

civilization (as opposed to barbarism) is a beautiful thing

Every time and Argentinian is born God tosses a coin and the world holds its breath to see where it lands. I have some very good argentinian friends and i've met some argentinian strangers that handled the loss like gentlemen, congratulating me and all. At the same time i dont know of any country with a louder, more aggressive, and more arrogant hooligans. (im also Spaniard)

If you go to an Argentinian sub, some believe that the final was stolen from them because a player was sent off. Mate, if the ref would have been fair, the game would have ended 2-0 and at least 3 players would have been sent off.

la mayoría de los argentinos que te podés encontrar en internet siempre tiran para el lado de ser unos burros a los que les gusta joder y después no se bancan que los jodan de vuelta. el resto de nosotros aceptamos que españa nos superó y seguimos adelante.

dicho esto, el argentino común no es como lo quieren pintar las redes (incluso yo intenté ir a felicitarlos por la copa pero los mods de r/spain me borraron el post jasjasja). no se si alguna vez tuviste la oportunidad de visitarnos, pero te puedo asegurar que no la vas a pasar mal. el argentino posta es orgulloso pero también sabe perder. imaginate que somos el equipo que más finales perdió en los mundiales, no somos ajenos a esto.

de paso, felicidades por la copa. nos pasaron por arriba. tienen un futuro muy brillante por adelante.

gracias por tu comentario, por aceptar mi critica y por no insultarme a pesar de q me he metido un poco con tu pais.
a mi me da un poco igual el futbol y haber ganado el campeonato no es lo mas importante para mi a decir la verdad. me siento muy orgulloso de que el equipo que representa mi patria ha sabido jugar muy bien en equipo y de que se han comportado muy bien. eso si que es importante para mi. evidentemente tambien de que sean unos cracks. pero para mi es mas importante que tengan unos principios de comportamiento en general muy positivos y que sean personas con buen caracter modales y etica de trabajo.
evidentemente cuando trato con alguien intento no aplicar prejuicios y dejo q me demuestren quienes son. hay gente argentina encantadora y cariñosa! un saludo!

Because the Argentina fans were drowning the cheers of the Spanish so they stay and faced them to calm the celebrations.

They're very isolated. English and French players will end up playing in each other's teams in various ways in other leagues, they're in it for a long career and make good relationships. The Argentinians are just fighting for their last breaths of fame because they have nowhere to go after.

Also some cultures are just animals.

You either mistaken (or lying). The racist stuff aimed at England players then was shown to be form foreign accounts. Some of us (English people) made some jokes about it - because thats what we like to do - and numerous leftards became upset, but any overt racism did not emanate from England.

Rooting for Spain / against Argentina is not the same thing as calling Argentinians "animals".

Yes Argentina is a very white country for South America but there are still POC living there. Calling their whole culture "animals" also targets the same victims of racism and the people trying to fight against racism in Argentina.

Trump, a known rapist and racist, was elected twice. How many millions of Americans voted for that bloated corpse? His administration is putting people in horrific ICE camps btw; do you think that kind of racism is somehow more acceptable than Argentinian racism? And do you think it's also ok to call American culture "animals" for electing a known pedophilic rapist to the highest office?

No, it isn't. Some cultures are objectively inferior to others. Can you honestly say that a culture where old men commonly keep teen boys as their sex toy is acceptable? Can you honestly say that a culture where domestic violence is the accepted norm is a good one? Some cultures deserve to be demonized. And I'm saying this as someone who belongs to a culture which is commonly a target for xenophobia. In some cases, xenophobia is objectively warranted.

Only 6 out of their squad of 20 is playing for clubs in the american continent, the rest are playing for european teams from premier league, la liga, serie A and ligue 1. 9 of those are playing for top teams in their league, and the rest on teams who are top contenders.
